They’ve finally run out of leisThe Hawaiian steel’s still crying out

But now they’ve got plastic mai tai’s

The evening star I wish upon

Turns out to be an incoming jetThe view from here ain’t what it was

West of the rest

The same old sun’s still shining

The surf thunders and the palm trees swayI look out the window at the sunset

And wonder how I got so far away
