Frequently asked questions Do I still need to touch on and off with my myki? You can touch on and touch off with your myki at railway stations as you would normally. It is important that you use the station myki machines to touch on and touch off once each journey: touch on at the first station and again at the last station. You do not need to touch on or off on train replacement buses. You can find your most convenient retailer at ptv.vic.gov.au or download the PTV app. Can I take my bike or pet on the bus? Unfortunately, bicycles, dogs and surfboards aren’t allowed on replacement buses. In accordance with the Victorian Fares and Ticketing Manual 2018, bicycles (except folding bicycles), surfboards, dogs and other pets are not permitted to travel on buses. An exception exists for guide dogs, hearing guide dogs, guide dogs in training, animals identified by an Assistance Animal Pass and small animals if they are suitably contained. What about accessibility for people with a disability travelling during the rail disruptions? Customer service staff will be on hand at replacement bus stops to assist people with special needs. If a station is unattended and you require assistance, press the red button on the information console on the station platform. If you believe you will need assistance please contact the Project Team on 1800 105 105 to discuss alternative travel arrangements. PLANNED DISRUPTIONS TO TRAIN SERVICESWork is well underway to remove the dangerous and congested level crossing at Kororoit Creek Road in Williamstown North. Removing this level crossing will improve traffic flow along this key transport corridor that connects Williamstown North industrial precinct, nearby ports and residential areas to the Princes Freeway.

It will also improve safety in the area by removing the risk of incidents between passenger trains and road vehicles, including large freight vehicles, and provide safer passage for pedestrians and cyclists.

At the end of this major 43 day construction blitz the project will have:

• Duplicated the single-track section of rail line between Newport and Seaholme stations, removing a significant bottleneck, with associated power and signalling work.

• Removed the level crossing by constructing two rail bridges to pass over Kororoit Creek Road.
