    Official statementregarding Llanelli

AFCIt has been reported in certain publications and on unofficialwebsites that if Llanelli AFC fails to comply with the UEFAFinancial Fair Play Test by the end of September then it would

affect their application for the FAW Domestic Licence to play inthe Corbett Sport Welsh Premier League next season. This is not the case.It is true that if the Reds do not satisfy the financial criteria setout by UEFA by September 30th then one possible sanction is tosuspend them from European competition but this will not affect

their right to play in the top flight of Welsh football.Llanelli and every other Corbett Sports Welsh Premier Leagueclub must reach stringent financial targets by April 2013 in orderto allow them to participate in the league the following season.Llanellis woes spread to the field on Saturday as they collapsed

to a 0-3 home defeat to Newtown. Three Reds players were alsored carded which means Ashley Evans, Chris Venables and Luke

Bowen will miss next Fridays visit to Park Avenue to take on

    Aberystwyth Town

The Last Word from Gwyn Derfel

Goals galore again, red mist and a historic weekend for womens football in Wales. Its certainly never

    dull in my privileged post.

Twenty two goals were scored in the Corbett Sports WPL on Saturday, eight of which were shared at the

Genquip between Port Talbot and Airbus. None were scored at Richmond Park as The New Saints failed

to find the net in three consecutive league games for the first time since December 2008.(Thanks to

Statto for that one). Bangor and Prestatyn lead the way of course and the Seasiders victory at Maes

Tegid leaves Bala as the only club still searching for a victory this season following Aberystwyths 2 -1

    success at the Deeside Stadium.

I was at Stebonheath witnessing Newtown gaining revenge for their 9-2 hammering last season. Bernie

McNallys boys deserved their victory on Saturday but they were aided by a lack of discipline by certain

    Llanelli players.

Ashley Evans was given his marching orders for two bookable offences but Luke Bowen and Chris

Venables were sent to the showers for using foul and abusive language. All club managers have been

visited during the close season and have been told that in keeping with the FAWs Protecting the Image

of the Game initiative a clampdown on swearing has been introduced this season so I applaud AndyHarms and his assistants for implementing this directive.

Sunday was a big day for womens football in Wales as our National League kicked off for the very first

time. Thirty goals were scored in six games with Lisa Bird from newly promoted Cardiff City FC

leading the way with four goals against Port Talbot. There will be a few growing pains this season Im

surebut give the league a goand try to catch a game next weekend.

Y Gair Olaf gan Gwyn DerfelLlond trol o goliau, cardiau coch a hanes yn cael ei greu ym myd pl-droed merched Cymru.Penwythnos pwysig arall i gm y bl gron yn ein gwlad.

Sgoriwyd 22 o goliau yn Uwch Gynghrair Corbett Sportswyth or rheinyn cael eu rhannu ar y

Genquip rhwng Port Talbot ac Airbus. Welodd selogion Parc Waun Dew yr un gl brynhawn Sadwrn

wrth i Gaerfyrddin hawlio pwynt pwysig yn erbyn Y Seintiau Newydd. Dydir Pencapwyr ddim wedi

sgorio yn eu tair gm ddiwethafar tro diwethaf i hynny ddigwydd oedd yn Rhagfyr 2008 !. Bangor a

Phrestatyn syn arwain y ffordd ar hyn o bryd. Roedd llwyddiant bechgyn Neil Gibson ar Faes Tegid yn

golygu mair Bala ydir unig glwb syn dal heb brofi buddugoliaeth y tymor yma gan i Aberystwyth

ennill ar daith ar Lannau Dyfrdwy.

Roeddwn i ar Barc Stebonheath yn gwylior Drenewydd yn talur pwyth i Lanelli am y chwalfa o 9-2 y

tymor diwethaf. Roedd yr ymwelwyr yn haeddur triphwynt ond fe brofodd diffyg disgyblaeth ambell

chwaraewr Llanelli o gymorth I dm Benie McNally hefyd.Danfonwyd Ashley Evans am gawod gynnar wedi iddo weld ail gardyn melyn ond cafodd Luke Bowen

a Chris Venables gardiau coch am regi. Mae pob rheolwr wedi derbyn eglurhad manwl or canllawiau i

Warchod y Gm cyn dechraur tymor gan gynnwys yn benodol y gosb am ddefnyddio iaith

aflednais.Hoffwn ganmol Andy Harms ai gyd-swyddogion am ddilyn y canllawiaun gywir.

Roedd ddydd Sul yn ddiwrnod hanesyddol i gamp y merched yma yng Nghymru wrth ir Uwch

Gynghrair ddechraun gwbl genedlaethol. Sgoriwyd tri deg o goliau mewn chwe gmpedair or rheiny

gan Lisa Bird wrth i Gaerdydd guro Port Talbot. Bydd ambell broblem yn siwr o godi wrth ir Cynghrair

dyfu ond rhowch gyfle ir Cynghrair a cheisiwch fynd i weld gm y Sul nesaf.
