As a teacher new to Jeffco, we know that your new job may pose many challenges, both professionally and personally. We want to offer support and opportunities that address a variety of needs as you adjust to this major life change. Therefore, we have created a weekend get-a-way at our own Windy Peak Outdoor Lab School.
Our hope is that you will have an opportunity to learn skills that will help you cope with the ever changing landscape of education, as well as create a safe space to process and prioritize. You will have the opportunity to receive clock hours through optional sessions, or simply rest and network with others new to our Jeffco community.
Cost: $30 (will be deducted from October 31 paycheck)Register in ESS: Course Code INWLRT, Session 0002
Space is limited. Participants will be taken off the wait list on a first come, first served basis. No refunds available, unless the course is dropped before September 2.

7:00 - 8:00 p.m. Arrival & Check-In
Saturday, October 7
7:30 a.m. Yoga (optional)
9:00 a.m. Breakfast, Morning Sessions
12:30 p.m.Lunch, Afternoon Sessions, Free Time, Special Interest Sessions
6:30 p.m.Dinner, Community Time/Bonfire/Astronomy Open Lab
Sunday, October 8
7:00 - 9:00 a.m.Continental Breakfast, Check-Out of Cabins by 10:00 a.m.
Directions to Windy PeakThere will be a carpool option, meeting at the Ed Center at 6:00 p.m. on October 6.
Take US 285 from Denver to Bailey. As you reach the bottom of Crow Hill stay to the left when the road widens. urn left between Bailey Propane Company and Rustic Station Restaurant onto Park County Rd 68/Wellington Lake Road. Travel approximately 9 miles (mostly on a dirt road), keeping to the right-hand fork at intersections following signs to Lake Wellington. Once you see the sign for Windy Peak Outdoor Laboratory School, continue a short while until you see our parking area. Staff members will be there to guide you.
