“Well-groomed village”

The three members of „Youngster," observed two major problems in the village where the school is located:

Members of the group: Mateusz Dańczuk, Krystian Fornal and Przemysław Gajewski.

Problem number 1:

People staying in the park have not the possibility to segregate

garbage.

Problem number 2:

Horodło residents don't know about the amendment of the Act about

maintain cleanliness and

order in municipalities.

OUR FIRST MEETING:a) a visit to the community and present the problem and the project setting

three separate containers for paper, glass and plastic, to be purchased by the government

b) activities aimed at encouraging people temporarily staying in the park for the segregation of waste

The first action

We visited the Commune to present problem and actions to address it (purchase by the office three separate containers for paper, glass and plastic, which had to stand in the center of the village). see more on (www.zshorodlo.pl –Youngster gr.I)

After our visit we are going to have such nice containers….

OUR SECOND MEETINGa) preparing brochures for Horodlo's residents b) organizing a meeting with residentsc) distributing brochures.

The second action

Work on the brochure which contained:a) responsibilities of the property owner,b) tasks of the municipality,c) rates for waste collection

Action encourages segregation of garbage by people in the park, which consisted of informing the residents at the meeting of 27 February 2013 that the waste containers placed in the center of the village,
