Welcotne the Canadian Association of Gastroenterology
The Canadian Journal of Gastroenterology was launched in October 1987 to provide an international fo rum fo r clinica l and sc ientific articles in
gastroentero logy and hepatology. The Journal is listed in Current Contents and other major indexing/abstracting serv ices.
We welcome the adoption of the Journal as the offic ial organ of the Canad ian Association of Gastroentero logy and look forward to publish ing CAG news, informat ion and letters to the Editor. We encourage me mbers to contribute art icles for publication in their journal.
The editoria l policy has been, from the outset, focused, rapid rev iew and publication of new and important clinical topics in gastroenterology and hepatology. The Journal also prov ides a vehicle for discussion of irksome, provocative and sometimes dangerous developments in the ethi cs, practice and politics of th is constantly changing field . A truly internat ional editorial board brings expertise, flavour and direction to the Journal.
In add ition to the six regular issues publish ed each year, special, top ic-spec ific editions are frequently published, eg, on therapeutic endoscopy and inflammatory bowel disease.
In response to the environmental movement, the journal is printed entire ly on recycled paper using vegetable-based inks.
T he Journal welco mes original clinical and basic science articles, clinical trial reports, in-depth review articles, brief communications and unique case reports in either English or French.
