WELCOMING THE PROPHET 'ISA IN THE FINEST MANNER

The Qur'an reveals Jesus' ascent into the heavens and the signs accompanying his second

coming. Many hadiths, such as: "By the One in Whose hand is my sel, deinitely the son o

Mary !ill soon descend among you as a ust udge," also provide many e#amples o !hat

Jesus !ill do and the prevailing conditions at that time. These revelations are so clear thatthere is no room or dou$t. Moreover, they coincide even in the details !ith !hat !e see in

our o!n day. %or centuries, many scholars e#pressed their valua$le opinions on Jesus' second

coming and inormed people a$out the conditions that he !ill ace. The Old and &e!

Testaments also contain much clear evidence a$out his second coming. %or e#ample, the Old

Testament reveals that the Messiah !ill rule the !orld: "... the od o (eaven !ill set up a

)ingdom that !ill never $e destroyed, nor !ill it $e let to another people ..." *+aniel :--

and the &e! Testament says: "... This same Jesus, !ho has $een ta)en rom you into (eaven,

!ill come $ac) in the same !ay you have seen him go into heaven." */cts 0:00

1t is interesting to o$serve that all three $oo)s o revelation sent $y od to guide and

enlighten humanity are very much ali)e in this regard. /lthough the Je!ish and 2hristianscriptures !ere altered over the passage o time, they still contain much material in accord

!ith the Qur'an. 1t is pro$a$le that these parts date $ac) to the era in !hich they !ere

    revealed. *od )no!s $est.

iven the a$ove evidence as !ell as humanity's current condition, there may $e only 03 or 4

years until Jesus' return. Or, perhaps he has already returned. This ne!s is a source o

encouragement, happiness, and motivation or all people.

    The 1mportance o 5reparing or Jesus in Joy, 6#citement, and 6#u$erance

Jesus is a $lessed Messenger !hom od graced !ith a miraculous lie and honored $y $eing

chosen as a 5rophet. od revealed that Jesus is "o high esteem in this !orld and the

    (ereater, and one o those $rought near 7to My presence8" *Qur'an, 9:-3, and that he !ill $e

re!arded !ith 5aradise. %or this reason, all people must !elcome him in the nicest possi$le

!ay !hen he returns. 6ven a poor person prepares his or her house days in advance or an

e#pected guest, and strives to $e proper and !orthy. On the other hand, given that Jesus is a

most valued guest as !ell as a 5rophet !ith superior ualities, everyone must !elcome his

return to 6arth in the nicest !ay possi$le.

Jesus' second coming is a very great git o od or all humanity, and it is an eually great

git to meet !ith this valued 5rophet. When he comes, he !ill dra! everyone's attention !ithhis innocent, pure, and $right ace, and !ill capture humanity's attention !ith his accurate,

!ise, and insightul speech. %or the irst time ever in their lives, all people alive at that time

!ill see a 5rophet o superior human ualities. od !illing, his second lie !ill $e as ull o

miracles as !as his irst lie. /ll people !ill admire him or his virtue and unrivalled !isdom.

(is every !ord !ill $e inspired $y od, and his every decision !ill $e accurate.

/ll people, especially $elieving 2hristians and Muslims, must prepare in e#citement, vigor,

and great e#u$erance or his arrival. Those !ho do not do so are committing a great error, or

it is a grave act o disrespect to $e la;y or unconcerned a$out the arrival o such an important

guest. Those !ho $elieve od's !ords must ponder the developments in the !orld and $e

a!are o the signs o the 6nd Times in order to prepare or this most important guest's arrival. They cannot say "1 $elieve in Jesus' second coming" and then thin) along the lines o "$ut 1

!ill prepare later or ma)e up or it later." Which conscientious, genuine 2hristian could say,

!hen the appointed time has come: "We !ere e#pecting Jesus, $ut didn't consider it

necessary to prepare or it"< 1 they say so $ecause they $elieve that this event might $e

another 03=4 years a!ay, they are mista)en, $ecause they !ill see that 03=4 years can pass

ust li)e 03=4 days. /s a result, they !ill suer great remorse or their indierence. &o one

should orget that people in the 0>?4s thought o the 0>@4s or 0>>4s as the distant uture.(o!ever, time passed uic)ly and $rought the ne! millennium. Ai)e!ise, the day o our

meeting !ith Jesus !ill arrive soon, od !illing.

    The /ppearance o %alse Messiahs

    1s a ign o Jesus' 1mminent /rrival

ome people might !ant to induce indierence in those $elievers !ho !ant to prepare or the

arrival o od's $lessed messenger. They might try to "prove" that all such preparations are

unnecessary. One such method !ill $e the appearance o alse Messiahs. 1n the past, some

insane or greedy people have claimed to $e Jesus. ome circles have tried to use these

ignorant people to their advantage $y ma)ing statements to the eect that "the $elie in Jesus'second coming inevita$ly creates alse Messiahs." 1n this !ay, they sought to slo! do!n or

even stop the preparations or his arrival. (o!ever, no one can delay the arrival o this

cele$rated time promised $y od, $ecause they ust cannot comprehend the act that the

emergence o alse Messiahs is a sign o Jesus' imminent arrival. Many Bi$le verses reer to

    this, such as:

/s Jesus !as sitting on the Mount o Olives, the disciples came to him privately. "Tell us,"

they said, "!hen !ill this happen, and !hat !ill $e the sign o your coming and o the end o

    the age

Jesus !ill $e Decogni;ed $y the %act That (e Will (ave no Delatives and That &o One Will

    Fno! (im

One o the most important actors that !ill distinguish Jesus rom alse messiahs !ill $e his

lac) o parents, relatives, riends, and acuaintances.

/s revealed in the previous chapters, Jesus !as $orn $y od's command "BeC" and !ithout a

ather. od li)ens this situation to that o /dam's creation:

The li)eness o Jesus in od's sight is the same as /dam. (e created him rom earth and then

(e said to him: "BeC" and he !as. *Qur'an, 9:3>

Both /dam and Jesus !ere created $y od's command: "BeC" /dam had no parents, and

Jesus had ust his mother Mary. But on his return, he !ill have no mother either. iven that

he irst lived centuries ago, he also !ill have no relatives.

On his second coming, there !ill $e no suspicion as to !hether or not he is Jesus. Those !hoalsely claim to $e the Messiah !ill easily $e e#posed as liars, or people !ill have )no!n

them during their youth. 5eople !ill have photos o them, and many more people !ill have

)no!n them rom their childhood on!ard. o, it !ill $e a great error on their part to ma)e

    such a claim.

THE ENTIRE WORLD WILL UNITE AROUND

    THE PROPHET 'ISA (AS)

The Qur'an and the hadiths reveal the nature o the necessary preparations, as do the great

opinions o such scholars as Bediu;;aman aid &ursi. The most important phase is theideological $attle !ith the !orld's anti=religious movements. /s Bediu;;aman says, all

$elievers must unite in the ideological $attle against atheist movements that guide people

a!ay rom religious morality, such as +ar!inism and materialism, and ully eradicate them.

%or this reason, they must use all o their resources to prepare $eore Jesus' !ar on irreligion

$egins. /s Bediu;;aman says, Jesus !ill move !ith "the s!ord o heavenly revelation" at

hand, meaning that he !ill $e guided $y od's revelations. Thereore, every choice he ma)es

!ill $e right, and he !ill do a!ay !ith all irreligious systems.

To $egin to orm this 2hristian=Muslim unity is a very good !ay to prepare or Jesus' arrival.

(o!ever, irst 2hristians must resolve their internal dierences, unite $ehind Jesus' !ord,

and $ecome a ran) as solid as a "!ell=$uilt !all" *Qur'an, E0:-. /nd, Muslims must removetheir o!n internal sources o disparity and !or) to create unity and solidarity. /ll Muslims

must move closer to od, cooperate to serve (is religion even $etter, and achieve 1slamic

unity. %ollo!ing the creation o these t!o unions, the pact $et!een Muslims and 2hristians

!ill orm a massive po!er and represent a $arrier to all evil movements that deny od. These

preparations !ill orm the $asis or the alliance that !ill e#ist !hen Jesus returns.

(o!ever, at the present time, no 2hristians or Muslims are ma)ing any serious preparationsG

rather, they seem to $e very indierent to this valued guest's arrival. uch people !ill $e

ashamed !hen Jesus comes, or then they !ill reali;e that it is too late to ma)e amends.

/nother danger or 2hristans is that o coming under the inluence o those !ho are distur$ed$y the prospect o Jesus' arrival. 5eople !ho do not prepare or this event, due to their pride,

!ea) aith, ignorance, and lac) o comprehension, might see) to inluence conscientious

2hristians in a negative manner. till, ho!ever, one !onders !hy those 2hristians !ho love

Jesus and $elieve in the Bi$le pretend not to see this great truth. The time has come or all

2hristians to commit themselves to morality and the path o Jesus. /ll 2hristians must sho!

their sincerity and their !holehearted dedication to od, as deined in the Bi$le, and $e

tolerant, loving, peaceul, devoted, and !or) to spread od's religion. The Bi$le's clearstatements on Jesus' second coming must move the conscience o 2hristians, or contrary

$ehavior or not ma)ing the necessary preparations could $ecome a source o great shame and

em$arrassment or them. Jesus has given the good ne!s o his second coming to all

2hristians, and says clearly in the Bi$le: "1mysel !ill come soon" *5hilippians :-

imilarly, Muslims must also a$ide $y od's morality, as revealed in the Qur'an and the

hadiths, and !or) or Jesus' arrival !ith e#citement, oy, and e#u$erance. Other!ise, ho! can

they claim to $elieve in this coming event
