Mosaic calls, our spirits fly,Embrace the earth and touch the sky.We welcome all, no strangers here.Come share with us, and shed your fear.

The universe now opens wide. The joy we know no fear can hide.So take my hand, and I’ll take yours.Come sing with us – your spirit soars.

CHALICE LIGHTING 1/1

With gladness we welcome today as only a loanFrom a universe that owes us nothing,Yet offers the treasure of limitless possibilities. We pledge to mold this day in an imageOf compassion, joy, and love,Acceptance of others, and openness to change Returning it to the universe transformed -And better than we received it.

With the lighting of this chalice, We seal our pledge and dedicate ourselves anew.

My thoughts are as free As the wind o’er the ocean,And no one can see Their form or their motion. No hunter can find them, No trap ever bind them: My lips may be still, But I think what I will.

A glimmering fire The darkness will brighten; My soaring desire All troubles can lighten.Though prison enfold me, Its walls cannot hold me:No captive I’ll be, For my spirit is free.

The chalice grows silentBut we still hear the voicesOf those who have strivedTo keep the flame bright

Of those who have suffered and diedFor the freedomTo believe as we willIn oppression's dark night.
