With gladness we welcome today as only a loanFrom a universe that owes us nothing,Yet offers the treasure of limitless possibilities.We pledge to mold this day in an imageOf compassion, joy, and love,Acceptance of others, and openness to change Returning it to the universe transformed -And better than we received it.

With the lighting of this chalice, We seal our pledge and dedicate ourselves anew.

Congregation: May we share with each other the meaning in our lives.
