What will the students learn in U.S. History Part II?
*Begin at Reconstruction after Civil War 1865 and continue through eras and
events such as:• Industrialization and Urbanization
• Spanish American War• World War I
• The Great Depression• World War II
• Korean and Vietnam Conflicts• Cold War
• Current Events
What will you need for U.S. History class?
• Composition Notebook
• Pocket Folder
• Pencils / erasers / pens
• Glue stick / scissors / highlighters
• Dry erase markers for student use on white boards

History Homework Homework, or independent practice, will
mostly be to complete any unfinished classwork OR study for quizzes and tests.
Reminders will be written on Homework board in the classroom & posted on my webpage.
Graded, and for each day late, 10 points are deducted per school policy
You can help your child by checking over his / her homework for completion & spot checking for accuracy
Textbooks
• Textbooks will be assigned in class next week and will be kept at home throughout the school year.
HISTORY ASSESSMENTSGrades will be assigned based on the Bedford County Schools Grading Policy:
•40% Formative =What are we doing to make sure you are learning the material? Student scores on class work, homework, 5-minute checks, teacher-led activities, group activities
• 60% Summative =What are we doing to show that you know the material? Student scores on quizzes, tests & projects
