ABOUT MEI live in Morton with my husband and two children:
Madison, 9, and Eliot, 5.
I graduated from Rockford College in 2008 with a BA in
History and Secondary Education.
I have endorsements in both Language Arts and Special
Education.
I am halfway through the MS in Special Education program
at ISU.
This is my 7th year teaching Special Education and my 5th
year teaching at Morton Junior High School.

Work on homework/Check for accuracy
Pre-teach/Re-teach – as time allows
Review for tests (very limited on time - still need to
study at home!)
TUTORIAL STUDY HALL GUIDELINES
Homework not finished at school needs to be completed at
home.
Just save questions for study hall – NOT the entire
assignment.
Time management: an ongoing process
Tests: Students need to use the provided study guides and
review for tests and quizzes at home with a parent.

MODIFICATIONS POLICY
I tell the students that the modifications I give to them
(“homework helpers”, study guides, etc.) are not to be
shared with other students.
They are for students in the resource/collaboration
program and their parents.
CHECKING HOMEWORK & GRADES
Resource webpage
• All white team assignments are posted each day on the resource webpage. This webpage is reviewed with the students each day in study hall.
MyHomework app
• Students will have this app on their iPads to keep track of their assignments. Assignments are automatically added to the assignment calendar.
PowerSchool
• Students will have the PowerSchool app on their iPads.
• Please check your student’s grades on a weekly basis.
