Music Notes: The Prelude is a guitar solo by 17th-century Spanish composer Gaspar Sanz, but most people recog-nize it from its inclusion in Joaquín Rodrigo’s 1954 Fan-tasía para un gentilhombre. The Anthem is a well-known folk hymn from William Walker’s 1835 hymnal Southern Harmony, heard today in a 2003 arrangement by Larry Shackley. The Postlude was written in 1695 by Henry Pur-cell; Benjamin Britten used it as the theme for his popular 1945 Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra.
