Fantasy Football
Draft Night!
Objectives of the math night:
• to make a connection with the math taught in the classroom to the real-world
• to encourage students and parents to talk about math
• to have FUN and LEARN at the same time
Objectives of Fantasy Football and Math:
• to create the best team possible given a salary cap of $40 million from actual NFL football players
• using a given formula calculate your teams performance after each weeks games
• to have the most points at the end of the season
How to play the game

Selecting Players
•This step will be completed and turned in no later than Monday, August 30th.
•You have $40 million to spend on eleven players and two team defenses.

•Starting line ups will be selected on Wednesday of each week
•If a player is placed on the injured reserve (IR) and will not play the remainder of the season, a new player with an equal or less player value may be chosen
•When you look at the player value posters, remember to add 3 zeros to the end of the cost

•When selecting your roster, pay close attention to bye weeks. If your players have the week off, you will not get any points.
•Our season will run for September 2 – November 10
•The Awards Ceremony will be on November 19th!
