One of the ways the OPRE officesupports you is by sharing upcomingCEU opportunities for CPSWs.You need 40 CEUs every two yearsto re-certify. Out of those 40 CEUs,20 can be from onlne courses andoverall you need 6 CEUs in ethics
and 6 in cultural competency. We will keep you updated on CEU opportunitiesposted on our Network of Care web pages and will also update opportunitieson the NMCBBHP (New Mexico Credentialing Board for Behavioral HealthProfessionals) website. Recovery Support Assistant - Full-Time / AlbuquerqueBASIC FUNCTION:Under supervision, this position is responsible for promoting a culture in whichthe voices representing people with lived mental health and substance useexperiences and recovery become part of the institution; promoting a recoveryoriented system of care; serving as a member advocate; providing support forstaff and members during emergencies as well as in outpatient and inpatientsettings; serving as a mentor/role model demonstrating competency inrecovery, effective coping skills and self-help strategies.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:*High school Diploma or GED. *Valid States Drivers License. *Current or past consumer of mental health or co-occurring behavioral healthservices.*2 years success within personal recovery model.*Ability to utilize individual and group skills.*Knowledge of local community behavioral health services.
PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS:
*Peer Support Specialist certification.

implement recovery initiatives. The RCNM meeting is open to all and we areactively seeking new participants to include consumer and family members;
other natural supports; community providers; and agency staff that are activelyinvolved in or are looking to connect consumers in recovery with long-term
supports. Please join us at our next meeting and invite a friend to join. We need
your help in reinvigorating our committee!!Mission: Supporting local recovery advocates to improve, empower, and
attract their communities to implement recovery initiatives. Vision: Improved quality of life through recovery.
