GPAs & TranscriptsISS utilizes a 4-point Un-weighted GPA HONORS CLASSES = +.5 Quality Point toward a Weighted GPA (all MYP courses in 9th grade with the exception of Math I and Health& PE are Honors Level)AP & DP CLASSES = +1 Quality Point toward a Weighted GPA (10th graders take APWH)All grades for HS credit courses are included on transcriptsThose taken in MS are coded differentlyCodes also differentiate Honors/AP/DP90-100 = 4.0 Regular; 4.5 Honors; 5.0 AP/DP

Students are awarded points for every FINAL grade they receive.The points are then averaged together to calculate the GPA.New GPA ScaleNew 10-Point Scale Now Means:90-100 = 4.080-89 = 3.070-79 = 2.060-69 = 1.0Class Rank for all current SIHS 9th Graders

Summa Cum Laude =4.5 +Magna Cum Laude =4.0-4.49Cum Laude = 3.7-3.9

Freshman Year TranscriptsYear-long ClassesOnly includes MS HS credit courses taken + the Earth & Environmental Science (and Math I if applicable) credit until the end of the year

Promotion StandardsYear 4In order to remain at SIHS and continue on to Year 5 of the IB MYP, all Year 4 students must:Pass all classes.Make up any time so as not to receive an FA in any courseComplete all Service and/as Action requirements35 hours + 4 Reflections

Promotion StandardsYear 5In order to stay at SIHS and to advance to Year 1 of the Diploma Programme and/or the IB Career Certificate Programme all Year 5 students must:

Pass all MYP coursesMake all time so as not to receive an FA in any courseSuccessfully complete the MYP capstone Personal ProjectComplete all required Service and/as Action hours by the end of the year deadline40 hours + 4 reflections
