• The FreeStyle Libre System measures glucose levels from the fluid surrounding your body’s cells, called the interstitial fluid (ISF)
• The sensor has a filament inserted just under the skin where it floats in the ISF and measures glucose

It’s important to remember Blood glucose and ISF measurements taken at the same time may not match1
PEEL OPEN the lid on the sensor pack and unscrew the applicator. Line up the dark marks on the sensor applicator and sensor pack. On a hard, flat surface press down firmly on the sensor applicator until it comes to a stop. Lift sensor applicator out of the sensor pack.
APPLY THE SENSOR, placing the sensor applicator over the cleaned site and pushing down firmly until the sensor is in place. Gently pull the sensor applicator away from your arm.
CLEAN an area on the back of your upper arm with an alcohol wipe, avoiding scars, moles, stretch marks or lumps. Allow the area to dry thoroughly.
