3/22/201533
AIRCRAFT PROTECTION BEGINS WITH THE CFI
CONTROL LOCKS NEED TO BE PLACED AFTER EVERY FLIGHT

Weather for the EOC (PVT,IRA,CAX):
• For Cross Country planning, students can
NOT come with weather six hours older than
the time of the End of Course; meaning, if the
EOC is planned for 12:00 hours the earliest
time they can get the weather is 06:00 hours
because anything older than that would be an
outlook. The PTS for cross country planning
calls for current weather.
•
4/29/2016 41
• Folders for EOC must be a rehearsal for
the Checkride:
4/29/2016 42
• Documents: must have all the original
documents and required paperwork like the
day of the stage check and chec kride.
• That also includes: Passport for applicants,
Form 8710 (Student’s Name IACRA) doesn’t
have to be associated, and
• all other required documents on the Personal
documents checklist of the PTS.
4/29/2016 43
• Original written test with raised seal MUST
be BE IN THE FOLDER for stage checks
and check ride
4/29/2016 44
• For Instrument applicants CFIs are not
making enough emphasis on ODP and
SIDs.
4/29/2016 45
• Weight and Balance doesn’t show proper
calculations for the conditions on the
actual day of the EOC
4/29/2016 46
• EOCs are still scheduled with very little
time before the scheduled Checkride.
4/29/2016 47
• Commercial applicants do not know how to
use the Performance Charts for the arrow and
Seminole. Need to teach scenarios.
48
Do you accept this Uniform?
4/29/2016 49
is this an acceptable haircut for a
pilot?
4/29/2016 50
Let’s talk about CAX TRAINING
AND CR
• CFI WILL NOT BE ALOWED TO START
ANY CAX SEL AND MEL TRAINING IF
STUDENT HAS NOT TAKEN FAA
WITTEN TEST
• CFI WILL NOT BE ALOWED TO START
TRAINING UNTIL STUDENT HAS
SCHEDULED EOC AND CHECKRIDE
4/29/2016 51
THE TIME YOU SHOULD BE TAKING WITH
THE STUDENT• .3 briefing
• .3 briefing
• .3 briefing
• it looks very bad
The time logged in the folder has to match with the student account
IN EVERY
FLIGHT AND FTD
?
4/29/2016 52
• You need to take the time with the student
starting the briefing and finishing the
briefing. This will help you so the student
will not have any reasons to question what
you are charging.
4/29/2016 53
MANUEL• SCHOOL TESTS NEED QUIZZES
• IS MANUEL GIVING THE COPY OF SCHOOL TEST WITH SEAL ?
• FAA TEST: THE STUDENT NEEDS TO SHOW MANUEL THE ENDORSEMENT AND THE ADF TEST
• IF A FLIGHT WAS 1.3 AND THE CFI PUTS IN 1.5, MANUEL NEEDS TO SPEND TIME DOING THE RESEARCH. IT TAKES AN AVERAGE OF 20 MINUTES
• IF EACH CFI MAKES ONE MISTAKE IT IS 30 CFI X 20 MIN = 600 MIN. THAT MEANS MANUEL NEEDS 10 HOURS TO CORRECT YOUR MISTAKES
4/29/2016 54
• LESSON 16 DOES IT HAVE STALLS ?
I DON’T LIKE
STALLS AT

CHANGE OF CFI
• Never say we need to repeat. WE NEED
TO SAY LETS CONTINUE.
• Never criticize the last CFI.
• Never show off how much more tricks you
know than last CFI.
• Never take credit that belongs to the last
CFI. Be fair.
4/29/2016 57
4/29/2016 58
Pairing students
• We do not ask the students to find
a partner to do the training
together. The only ones allowed
to assign two students together is
Alex
