What Else Goes On In the Room?

Students are also scheduled in to the room to take Credit Recovery courses on the computers. Additionally, students may be sent to the room to take a test for a class they were absent for, or to receive a separate location modification for test taking due to an Individualized Education Plan (IEP). There is a separate room located within the AAC for these quiet activities.

What is Credit Recovery?

Credit Recovery is an online program called Gradpoint, that is taken by students to make up part of the course or the whole course that he/she failed.

It is independent work that the student can do (at their own pace) in the AAC and also at home (excluding tests). The courses are set up with a pre-test, which will tailor the study plans for the student and will conclude with a post-test.

The student is also required to take notes in a notebook as they progress through the course. The notebook can be used on all the quizzes and tests throughout the study plans.

Course credit will be obtained after you complete all of the required Gradpoint study plans.
