Nukkad natak by hindi department
Nukkad Natak is an excellent medium
for highlighting various social issues &
to influences the people around.
As for students such an activity
enhances ones speaking skills. The
students of secondary wing show
cased their performing skills in Nukkad
Natak under the able organization and
preparation by Abhivyakti, the
school’s Hindi Department. The
sensitive issue of Beti Padhao and Beti
Bachao was beautifully portrayed by
the participants. The marvellous and heart touching presentation by young actors compelled everyone in
audience to think and act for the change in society. The spectators witnessed yet another extra ordinary
performance of students reflecting their remarkable talent.
Geeta shloka gayan by sanskrit department
In today’s world, overrun by
stress and disappointments
caused by greed to get more and
more, selfishness, the values and
ethics have been lost
somewhere. This unforgiving
pace & complexity of modern life
has greatly challenged our ability
to live in peace and with
contentment. To handle this
chaotic lifestyle, Mahatma
Gandhi had beautifully written:
"When doubts haunt me, when disappointments stare me in the face, and I see not one ray of hope on the
horizon, I turn to Bhagavad-Gita and find a verse to comfort me; and I immediately begin to smile in the midst of
overwhelming sorrow. Those who meditate on the Gita will derive fresh joy and new meanings from it every day."
Shrimad Bhagvad Gita, an incredible book shows us a way to live life and will be a guiding force till posterity.
Recitation of Gita Shloka generates positive vibes in atmosphere & helps in spreading high values in society.
In the month of May, Udgaar, the Sanskrit Department of school conducted an activity “Gita Shlok Gayan’ in which
the students from class VI to X participated with jubilant fervour. Mridu Kaushik of Class IX recited the Shlok so
melodiously that everyone was spell bond and lost in the deep rooted meaning of each word. The School Principal, in
her address appreciated everyone & motivated them to follow these life guiding verses in their life.
With the beginning of new session, the school has decided to introduce various Clubs to line up
Co-Scholastic activities with the motive of providing opportunities to its members to develop their skills and interests in a specific area. Under this club system the students will interact with peers in a supervised setting while participating in various activities.
EARTH DAY BY ECO CLUB We all live in a diverse world having various aspects, each playing an important role. We play an integral
role in the environment. Today our surroundings are facing numerous problems & adversities, most of
them caused by us. The solution to these challenges lie in our attitude towards the nature. The best way to
bring about a change in the society is through ‘youth’. In view of this passion & zeal for keeping the
environment clean and to develop qualities like leadership, self-reliance and teamwork among the
students, Vivekanand Public School has launched the ‘Eco-Club’.
On 22nd April, which is celebrated as the ‘Earth Day’ worldwide, students of Eco club conducted a special
assembly to spread awareness about issues such as Ecological Balance & Global Warming and also pointed
out the pros & cons of not having a healthy and clean environment. The members of the club indulged in
tree Plantation Event & planted numerous saplings around the school in order to help this ailing planet.
Prior to the Earth Day celebration, the members put up dustbins on each floor of the school building,
promoting the need of cleanliness.
mother’s day celebration BY INTELLECT CLUB
"Mothers have always played a special role in each of our lives. Their unconditional love, support and the feeling of a security blanket around us is unmatched.
Primary Wing Mother's Day was celebrated by the primary wing of
Vivekanand Public School with much fervour and joy.
People across regions, religions, castes, cultures, genders
and financial status have emotions binding them to their
mothers. There could not be a more universal celebration
than this one.Parents were welcomed by the spell bound
performance of their children, to show their love and
respect for their mother, the young, enthusiastic vivekians
made beautiful cards. It was followed by the little chef
serving fruit chaat and sandwich to their mother, which
they had made themselves under the guidance of class teacher. The heart warming gestures of their
children gave immense joy to mothers of our students. To make the celebration more special, few games
were also organized for mothers and some mother were also invited on the stage for fun-filled activities
based on Retro theme. Winner-Mothers were awarded. The mothers had all praises for making their day a
cherished and memorable one.
Senior Wing
The program organised by Intellect Club started
with a video on the significance of the chores
the beautiful mothers do every day, tirelessly
and even without any expectations, which gave
everyone goosebumps. Then the fun began with
an activity which required 5 pairs of mother and
child where the mother had to fill a
questionnaire regarding her favourite things and
the child had to answer correctly. It was an
enthralling activity and worked upon the
bonding of this lovely pair. The 1st prise was
bagged by Srishti Bhatia and her mother who got 4/5 questions right. The second activity was equally
adept at making us laugh which required the mother child to tie one hand and fill in colour in a colouring
sheet with the other one. In 5 minutes, the participants were going frantic as they rushed through the
sheets. Sonalee Panchal& her mother stood first. A beautiful skit on the selflessness of mothers was
prepared by the students emphasising her value in our lives. The program ended with a poem and every
mother was given a card made by students of Intellect Club.

Legal Literacy Camp
‘Legal Literacy, Rights Literacy is as important as
Prevention, Treatment, Care and Support Literacy’
A legal literacy Camp was organised by DLSA and
conducted by the active members of organisation Mr
Abhishek Kumar, for counselling us about DLSA.
The organisation provides information to the groups
of society about the law and informs them about how
to utilise all he privileges given by our constitution.
The organisation is also willing to provide lawyers to
the needy and help with legal expenses.
The school was privileged to conduct of the seminars
in the school campus. The pupils came across various
legal laws and their amendments. They were
informed about the several types of offences
committed and their punishments along with the
process of registration of a FIR.
According to the students, the experience was extremely informative. The seminar was an
eye-opener for many as the students sat in silence and was all ears during the hour long
session.
Bidding adieu........... A farewell is an expression of good wishes at the time of parling. It
makes us realise how time flies. It gives us great pleasure to say, we
recognised, respected and appreciated the valuable skills and knowledge possessed by our incredible teacher
Mrs. Madhu Rastogi. We know how painful it is to bid or goodbye to someone who is an inspiration.
However, we all need to express our sincerest gratitude to her for all her uncommon contributions to
realizing the educational programmes & development of school.
The 25 years she had spent imparting the right skills and knowledge onto students seems like it was yesterday
she stonted teaching students of the school.
There is no doubt that she is an achiever, open
minded, generous knowledgeable, modest,
courageous, responsible & highly respected teacher.
On 30th June, a farewell party was organised where a
token of love was shared in honour of her. The
authorities’ and teachers shared their experiences
with a dash of tears & wished her for the best in her
2nd inning.
