Give thanks to the LORD for he is good, for his mercy endures forever. Let the house of Israel say: “His mercy endures forever.” R. “The right hand of the LORD has struck with power: the right hand of the LORD is exalted. I shall not die but live, and declare the works of the LORD.” R. The stone which the builders rejected has become the cornerstone. By the LORD has this been done; it is wonderful in our eyes. R.
Christ, our paschal lamb, has been sacrificed; let us then feast with joy in the Lord.
R./ This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad.

Anthem (9:00) Most Glorious Lord of Life William H. Harris Most glorious Lord of life, that on this day Didst make Thy triumph over death and sin, And having harrowed hell, didst bring away Captivity thence captive, us to win.
This joyous day, dear Lord, with joy begin, And grant that we for whom Thou diddest die, Being with Thy dear blood clean washed from sin, May live for ever in felicity:
And that Thy love we weighing worthily, May likewise love Thee for the same again; And for Thy sake, that all like dear didst buy, With love may one another entertain. So let us love, dear Love, like as we ought; Love is the lesson which the Lord us taught. -Edmund Spenser (c. 1522-1599)

Anthem (9:00) This Joyful Eastertide Charles Wood
This joyful Eastertide, Away with sin and sorrow! My Love, the Crucified, Hath sprung to life this morrow. R. Had Christ, that once was slain, Ne’er burst His three-day prison, Our faith had been in vain: But now hath Christ arisen, arisen, arisen, arisen. My flesh in hope shall rest, And for a season slumber: Till trump from east to west Shall wake the dead innumber. R. Death’s flood hath lost his chill, Since Jesus cross’d the river: Lovers of souls, from ill My passing soul deliver. R.
