2017 marks the 500

th Anniversary of the

Protestant Reformation led by Martin Luther in

Germany. Our Director

of Worship and Music Arts,

Karissa Lystrup, will host

a two-week trip in July 2017 visiting areas

of Germany including important sites asso-

ciated with Martin Luther and the Refor-

mation. We hope that St. John’s choir can

form the core of this tour and sing at some

of the churches. Karissa will play some of

the magnificent organs at famous churches

in Germany. Please contact Larry Schal-

Each week’s lesson is meaningful as a

cise Class. Since the group does not meet

during the summer months, this DVD will

LCMS (that’s right!) Mariachi group that

brings a message of deep hope in Jesus

Christ to its performances, is coming to

Arvin! The Mission Task Force will

sponsor two performances: Saturday, July

30 at Arvin High School, and Sunday,

July 31 at our sister campus St. John’s

Valley of Faith. Help bring the Gospel to

literally thousands of people by being part
