Our Dual-Enrollment program serves all high schools in SDUSD. The dual enrollment model enables military transfer students, students with medical issues, student athletes, and students involved in a variety of other extra-curricular activities to have a more flexible schedule for completing their coursework. Students also have an opportunity to choose from UC a-g/NCAA approved courses that may or may not be offered during the traditional school choices. In addition to gaining credits in approved, college-prep coursework, iHigh students learn essential college-and-career skills, such as how to be self-directed, self-motivated, and able to manage their time in successfully completing an online course.
Over the past four years, SDUSD high school students have completed close to 2,900 online course credits. A major advantage of the Dual Enrollment program is that students have expanded choices beyond what their neighborhood high schools might offer and can craft coursework schedules to meet individual circumstances.iHigh Virtual Academy is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Our core courses are approved for college admissions by the University of CA. iHigh core courses are also approved by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) to meet academic eligibility requirements for college-bound athletes.
