What you need to know for your student to be successful in Mr. Farley's Science Class:
EVERYTHING goes in their comp book Weekly Work Habits must be signed by Friday at the beginning
of class (7th Grade ONLY) I do not accept late work (unless it is a prearranged or
excused absence) I have the same extra credit each quarter (research &
experiment outside of class 20 points each = 160 extra points per year)
There is a quarter project each quarter (on syllabus) Each day there is an entry task, entry quiz, assignment, and
reflection (that you should expect to see for each day) The students have a class website:

Science Project 2012 CMS students will have an opportunity to do an at home
Science project with the goal of taking that project to the Mid Columbia Science Fair which is in March. Meetings will be held after school for students interested in getting the information about Mid-Columbia Science Fair. Dates for afterschool meetings will be announced on the all school broadcasts. There will not be a Carmichael Science Expo as ran last year, however, there be a Preview night for students to display their projects and to have an opportunity to talk about their projects with community members. All projects are extracurricular – no grades, extra credit, or assignments will be attached to these projects. Please direct any questions you have about this year’s Mid Columbia Science Fair to Mrs. Ruane at [email protected]. You can also get information directly from the Mid Columbia Science Fair website: www.mcsf.net.
