III. What is bias?Bias is a state of mind when you have already

decided on the issue without even knowing the full facts. You may call it prejudice or being partial.

Example: I think the Cleveland Indians are the best team in Major League Baseball. They will win the World Series this year.

1. Tonight when you go home make 5 observations about your house, family, yard, or your neighbors.

2. After you have made your 5 observations, use those observations to make 5 inferences.
