Welcome!

We’re glad you are here! This is a place where you can

BELONG. Guests should not feel obligated to give at the

offering, but please fill out a Connection/Visitor Card and

put it in the offering plate to let us know you are with us

today. After the service join us in the Atrium for a cup of

coffee and a cookie.

Nursery is available in our lobby area. It is staffed by

screened and approved volunteers.

Immediately following worship, Prayer Servants are availa-

ble to pray with you. Proceed to the tables at the back,

east side of the Worship Center (by the “Our Vision” ban-

ner). Rachel Palmer and Carol Laninga will pray with you

this morning.

Park Church is equipped with the Hearing Loop System.

This system is compatible with hearing aids that have a T

Coil setting. If you do not have a compatible hearing aid,

please contact an usher for a receiver.

Wednesdays @ Park will resume

on Wednesday, January 8.

Park Prayers...

Mark De Roo’s father, Berwin DeRoo, passed away unexpect-

edly on December 20. The funeral service was held on Tues-

day. Please continue to keep the DeRoo family in your prayers

as they mourn the loss of Mark’s dad and his mom who

passed away in November.

This week the Park Church family will pray for the families of

Dan and Rachel Steen, Todd and Suzie Steen, Kevin and

Stephanie Stein, and Jon and Melissa Barlow with Teach Be-

yond in the Philippines.

Call our prayer line at 335-6177.

man, who will preach in Pastor Dan’s absence.

week. They will resume on January 12.

Office Hours The church office will be open reduced hours

over this week. Staff will not be in on Wednesday, January 1.

worship. There will not be a Q & A so the potluck will begin

around 11:00. If you come with 3 or less, please bring one large

dish to share; 4 or more, please bring two large dishes to share.

Paper products, coffee, and water will be provided.

how you could get involved.

New Sunday Morning Prayer Format For the last cou-

ple of years, we have had a small group meet in the Prayer

Room at 9:00 a.m. for prayer before worship. Beginning in the

new year, we are going to join in prayer with the praise team

each Sunday at 9:10 instead. Anyone who would like to pray

with us for the worship service that morning is invited.

Offering Last Sunday $953.00 was collected for Community Action

House.

Today our offering is for the Movin’ On Ministry.

Upcoming Opportunities The new year begins with new

opportunities at Park Church. Two of those opportunities will hap-

pen on Wednesday nights, beginning January 8.

“Experiencing God” is a 13 week study on knowing and doing the

will of God. With readings and questions for each day, this study

will help to focus your devotional life and also help define God’s call

on your life. If you would like a book ordered, please sign up at the

Welcome Center by January 5. This group will meet from 6:30-

7:30 p.m. each Wednesday.

Financial Peace University is for families, couples, and individuals

who are ready to live purposefully in their financial doings. This 9

week course will be offered during W@P in January, February and

March, meeting from 6:30 -8:00. The cost is approximately $100,

which will pay lifetime dividends. You can sign up at the Welcome

Center, and will be given information to register online.

Congratulations to Mary Kalkman who will celebrate her 79th

birthday on January 5.

Harrington's Hope Care Closet Requested items for January

are laundry detergent and bleach. Items may be placed in or by

the cabinet which is located on the west side of the Atrium, near

the Harrington’s Hope office and Music Room.
