Study Habits and Attitudes

5 Steps to Increase study Motivation

• Set a schedule and study at the right time.Set a study schedule every day. Plan a specific time for studying, and

a time for playing or relaxing. Stick to your schedule.

• Get started with the 5 minute challenge. The hardest part of doing anything is to get started. The first step is

always the toughest. Whenever you don’t feel like studying, plan to study for 5 minutes. You will usually find you’ll be in the swing of things and want to continue until completion.

• Stop/start at the fun part.Plan to stop for breaks at the fun part. It’ll be easier to get restarted

because you’ll be starting at the fun parts.

• Remove distractions from your surroundings.

Remove as many distractions as possible, and remove yourself from other distractions. If you have to walk all the way across the house to watch T.V., chances are you’ll be less likely to do it.

• Set goals. When there’s a target to aim at, you’ll be more determined to rise up to

the challenge and push yourself to achieve it. The sense of satisfaction you get from the achievement of the goal is also a confidence booster.
