Opportunities & Special Events
Christmas Caroling
TONIGHT at 6:00pm, there will be no Bible studies, instead we will be Christmas Caroling to people around Shelburn. This is for all ages to participate. Come back to the church afterwards for fellowship, hot chocolate and bring a dessert to share!
Pastor Ben will be holding a New Members class directly after the service on January 18th. Lunch will be provided along with childcare during the class. Please see Pastor Ben if you are
wanting to participate or if you have questions.
NOTICE There will be NO Sunday Evening service on December 28th. Enjoy the holiday with friends and family! There will be NO Bible Studies on Wednesday, 24th due
the Christmas Eve Service & NO Bible studies on Wednesday, 31st due to New Years Eve. Please plan to pray in the New Year!
Christmas Eve Candlelight Service
FBC will hold our annual Christmas Eve Candlelight Service on Wednesday, December 24th at 9:00pm. Come, bring your family, and worship with us in song and hear the beloved Christmas story.

Youth Group! We hope to see you all tonight at 6:00pm. We'll be joining the rest of the church for Christmas caroling this week. Come out on Wednesday night, too, at 6:30pm. We’re reading through the book of Romans. Remember, Sunday school starts at 9:00am in the Upper Room—and don't forget to invite a friend to all of our

Kid JAM
Kid Jam is every Sunday evening at 6:00pm. There will be Bible lessons, games and snacks. Please bring your kids to take part in this group to learn about Jesus, enjoy food and fun!

No Sunday Night Bible Studies at 6:00pm There will not be Bible study tonight, instead, we will be meeting here at 6:00pm to go Christmas Caroling. The Christmas Program will be Sunday evening the
21st & Sunday evening the 28th is cancelled due to the holidays. We will resume the Bible studies on Sunday the 7th.
Wednesday Night Prayer/ Bible Studies at 6:30pm For our mid-week Prayer and Bible study, join Pastor Ben in a study through the book of Genesis in room #127 at 6:30pm. Children’s class meet in room #123
and the Youth will have their Bible study upstairs.

IRONMEN’S Breakfast
Attention all Men! Come join us Saturday, December 20th at 8:00am in the Ministry Center. There will be an awesome breakfast and devotional led by Chuck Thompson.

Kids Hope USA Program We are looking for someone who would be interested in becoming our Kids Hope USA Director. This person would oversee the Mentors, work in the schools with Administration to connect Mentors with the kids, and attend a training to be given all the current information. If you are interested in the role of Director, please see Misty
or Cheryl for further details.
Children’s Christmas Program
Practice for the Christmas Program will be at 4:45pm today, Kid Jam at 6:00pm. The Christmas Program will be Sunday, December 21st at 6:00pm. Please bring a snack or dessert for fellowship time afterwards.

The Missions Committee will soon be meeting to allocate the missions budget for 2015. If you are aware of a mission organization or a missionary you'd like for them to consider, contact one of the Missions Committee members and let them know who, what, and why as regards to that mission. Missions
Committee members are Phil Whigham (chair), Melanie Bailey, Misty Hunt, Camil Catlin, Merrell McNeill and Beth Jennings. If you have a passion for our church's active participation in missions and would like to further that cause, why not check into serving on the missions committee in 2015? Contact Phil Whigham for more info.
Stay Connected to the Hennie Family After hearing the Hennie family’s presentation last month, if you feel led to become a prayer partner for them or interested in their newsletters to be emailed to you, go to [email protected] and ask them to put you on their mailing list. You can send them an encouraging email anytime you’d like. There are picture/prayer cards at the welcome center for you to pick up. Please keep them & their ministry lifted up!

Christmas Needs Open Arms is in need of some coats, hats, gloves, & scarves for the group home girls & foster care children. If you are interested in helping out, please see
the Christmas Tree in the foyer with the tags on it for the items needed. Please have them returned to the tote provided or to Misty by Sunday, December 21st.
