KPMG is well established in the Danish market and we have a strong team that focuses on IT advisory
services. KPMG in Denmark is part of the global KPMG network and we have more than 250 IT

CIO Survey
In collaboration with Harvey Nash, KPMG has developed one of the
most comprehensive CIO Surveys on the market. Last year almost
4,000 CIOs participated globally, and the results show among other
things that 66% of CIOs focus on IT projects that make money, and
that one in four CIOs has reported a major IT security incident in the
past year.
Please find last year's survey on our website.

Privacy compliance
As the EU has announced the General Data Protection Regulation
(GDPR) it is now beyond doubt that Privacy in most organisations will
move from being a small itch somewhere in the IT or Legal
departments to a significant concern at CxO-level. There are three
primary reasons why the GDPR will be a game changer:

■ All organisations are required to alert the authorities within
72 hours in case of a data breach involving personal
identifiable information.
■ Failure to comply with the GDPR may lead to fines that
amount to 4% of the global annual turnover or 20 mEUR,
whichever is higher.
■ The GDRP includes obligations to adopt the principles of
Privacy by Design and Privacy by Default – meaning that
when appropriate, identity must be concealed in the
processing of information and that privacy of personal
information should be a default setting.
KPMG assists clients in completing Privacy Impact Assessments,
getting a situational overview of compliance gaps and building road
maps to get to the desired state. For more on our services, please visit
our website.

IT Operating Models
In recent years, many companies and their IT departments have
experienced new challenges from various fronts. It has e.g. become
easier for the business to identify and buy Cloud solutions, leaders and
users are more IT knowledgeable, and many new opportunities on
mobile and social platforms are emerging. The new platforms enable
direct communication with the users, who in turn expect that their
questions are answered immediately. The IT platforms are an
integrated part of most business processes, and the demands for quick
delivery and high quality have never been greater.
KPMG has formulated a Point-of-view that examines the challenges IT
departments face today and how CIOs can meet these challenges by
using a new operating model for IT which focuses on driving innovation
and value creation.
