A Catholic becomes an Intentional Disciple after recognizing they have been personally chosen by the Lord to enter an intimate relationship with Him. This relationship relies on the Holy Spirit and embraces a lifelong sacra-mental journey of prayer, service, evangelization and communally receiving Je-sus Christ through Scripture and Eucharist. World Mission Sunday is on
October 24, 2021!
This year, Pope Francis reminds us of our baptismal call – to respond as missionaries, saying "We cannot but speak about what we have seen and heard" (Acts 4:20). We respond to that call, through our prayers and personal sacrifices for our brothers and sisters in the Missions – in places like Uganda where people face food uncertainty and violence... in the Philippines where lo-cal clergy face martyrdom… in Oceania where people’s livelihoods are threatened by climate change… and in remote regions of Latin America where people are hearing the Gospel for the first time. Respond next weekend to the World Mis-sion Sunday collection by supporting the priests, religious Sisters and Brothers, and lay catechists who provide loving service to those most in need. Envelopes are in your packets and in the Narthex. Please place your donation in with the reg-ular collection next Sunday. Thank you!
Eucharistic Adoration is a chance to be with God and pray in the physical presence of Christ in the Eucha-rist glorified in a beautiful vessel called a Mon-strance. This is a powerful form of prayer that high-lights the beauty of God. Please join us on the first and third Friday of every month!
Annual White Mass Praying for all of our Medical Professionals The Sangre de Cristo Guild of the Cath-olic Medical Association invites physi-cians, nurses, dentists, pharmacists, in patient and outpatient healthcare person-nel and their families to the annual White Mass and Solemn Blessing presided by Bish-op Stephen Berg. This will take place at the Cathe-dral of the Sacred Heart in Pueblo. For those who are outside of Pueblo, there will be a livestream via the diocesan website. This annual event correlates with the feast of St. Luke because he was a practic-ing physician and was one of the first converts to Christianity. We hope you will be able to join us on October 17th at 11:30AM. Synodal Journey—Please join Bishop Berg as he leads the Diocese of Pueblo in the synodal jour-ney also on Sunday, October 17th at the 11:30 A.M.
