VisionThe “Broad General Education”

• There was an agreement that education in Scotland had to change if it was to equip young people for the challenges of the 21st century

• There was a recognition that schools need to prepare young people to be “lifelong learners” to be able to fill the jobs of the future.

We are preparing our young people for a world that is very different to the one we know now

Vision If there was no more to human intelligence

than academic ability most of human culture would not have happened. There would be no practical science or technology; no business, no arts, no drama, dance, architecture, design, cuisine, aesthetics, feelings, relationships, emotions or love.
