My story“I’m interested in cultural exchange, mutual dialogue, and sharing of life to make the world a better place in which we must all live together. Learning a new language, such as English, is a good way to prepare myself to communicate and create connections with a wide range of the world’s population. At Live Language, I can improve my English skills thanks for our well-informed and professional teachers. Furthermore, I can meet and have a good relationship with people who come from all over the world. With them, I break down my judgement, stereotypes, suspicion and distrust in front of diversity.”
How to improve your speaking
1. Be confident.2. Grasp every opportunity – Try to speak
English as often as you can.3. Listen to music/audio books in English.4. Be patient with yourself.5. Consider carrying a dictionary.6. Have someone around who can help you.7. And finally, have fun. Find the exercises that
work for you and stick to them. Having a positive attitude will help you greatly.

Free tip1. Try to do a complete exam under exam conditions. Take
a break before you mark it but be honest with yourself. 2. Pick one area of weakness and one area of strength for
each section. 3. Choose online activities to practice your weaker areas.
IELTS : http://www.ielts-exam.net/ PET/ FCE/CAE : http://www.flo-joe.co.uk/
4. Later, focus on your strengths. Think about how you can avoid silly mistakes and really push your strong points as no matter what exam you sit, your strongest sections will always pull up the weaker ones.
5. And finally, the day before the exam, don’t stress yourself by studying. Have a long hot bath and get an early night.
My top tip1. Take advantage of the social programme: it’s not only an enjoyable way to practice but also a perfect way to meet new friends from all over the world. 2. Try to use English to have deep conversations: it will boost your vocabulary and your understanding of the different cultures that surround you.
My story“I study Biomedical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano. I need an Advanced certificate to enroll at University of Twente (Netherlands) for a Master’s course. I’ve chosen Live Language, because I did other courses in the previous years so I was sure to find a welcoming and professional environment. The course itself gave me the possibility of constantly practice and the teacher’s tips were very useful. ”

3 Common CV Mistakes
1. Too long: use edited highlights, most relevant information only.
2. Check for mistakes by printing it and reading it. Do not just edit it electronically: everything looks beautiful on the screen and mistakes will be missed.
3. Only one CV: You should have two or even three differ-ent versions of your CV designed to highlight different aspects of your experience and capabilities, depending on the job you are applying for.
My top tip1. To use the great digital resources (recommended by our teacher): teded.com / The Guardian / Ted Talk / Elllo...etc. It really works and helped me a lot to improve some english skills!
2. To study every day in cooperation with someone who is doing the same course and has the same level.
My story“I work in Arenales Carabanchel Bilingua school in Madrid as a teacher in Primary school. From this year it started to be com-pulsory to have the Advanced level to keep working at school. That’s why I decided to do an exam and found a CAE prepa-ration course at Live Language school. The course was great because we had an amazing teacher who always tried to focus in the exam and follow our needs to train a particular parts.

What you do outside the classroom is just as important as what
you do inside the classroom.
You can join excursions to many popular destinations in Scotland every Saturday.
Popular trips include historical Edinburgh, the breath-taking Highlands and Loch Ness, mysterious and romantic palaces and castles and active days out trekking, cycling or kayaking. Because the trips are optional, we don’t include them in our course fees.
That is why we give you lots of opportu-
nities to practice your language skills, while
relaxing, learning about UK culture and meeting friends from all over the
world.
