Welcome to Introduction to Working with Expert Texts

Overview This course will be taught by me

over 2 semesters

Each semester there will be a short test with a 60% pass mark

You will have one chance to retake this, this time with a 70% pass mark

The course will finish with a 15 minute oral exam

Materials

The course will follow this book Oxford English for Information Technology second

edition You can buy it or download it but you must have

it by next week As well as the topics and expert texts we study in

this book we will use authentic expert texts which will be on my website

class so check my website before the lesson

Tests The test will consist of short gap-fill

tasks The main focus on this course is new

vocabulary, but there will be a few grammar questions related to topics we have covered
