OCTOBER COUNT Our ushers counted all who attended Mass in the month of October. We sent the numbers to the office at the diocese and here is the final tally: The weekly average at: St. Cecilia (2 Masses)–480 St Felix (1 Mass)– 86 Holy Family (2 Masses)– 414 Sts. Peter and Paul— (4 Masses)-1203 After adding up all attendees at the 9 weekend Masses, we figure an average of 2085 people at-tended Mass in our grouping each week.

Just a quick reminder that tickets for the December 16th drawing are due into the office by Friday, December 13th. Also, just a note: for the March drawing, we have over 40 tickets with no sellers. If you’d like to help, please call the office. Also, a huge thanks to those who have been selling tickets for many years, and especially to those who take more than their fair share. ♥♥♥

Dear Parishioners,

Already it’s the Second Sunday of Advent. Ordinarily, De-cember 8, is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, com-memorating Mary’s exemption from the stain of original sin. Since Mary, as the Immaculate Conception, is Patroness of the U.S., it generally is a Holy Day of Obligation. This year, however, the feast is moved to Monday, December 9, be-cause this is the Second Sunday of Advent, which takes precedence even over the Blessed Mother. Since it falls on Monday, it is NOT an obligatory Mass day. We have our regular three Masses – 7:30 a.m., 8:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.

This Wednesday evening is the “Light is on For You” when churches will be open from 6:00-9:00 p.m. for the Sacrament of Penance. In our grouping, the priests will be: Fr. Mark at St. Cecilia; Fr. Paul at St. Felix; Fr. Bob at Holy Family; Fr. Paul Householder and possibly, Fr. Mike Greb, OFM, Cap at Saints Peter and Paul. See below for ex-tra opportunities for the Sacrament of Penance as well.

There are 3 special Advent Concerts coming up next week-end: Saturday, December 14 Marco Fiorante at Saints Peter and Paul 7:00pm Beaver Valley Choral Society at Holy Family 7:00pm Sunday, December 15 Beaver Valley Choral Society at St. Cecilia 4:00pm

December 16-23 We’ve added some extra opportunities for Confession: Monday, 16th: St. Cecilia 6:00pm Tuesday, 17th: SSPP 4:00pm Wednesday, 18th: St. Cecilia 6:00pm Thursday, 19th: St. Felix 4:00pm Holy Family 6:00pm Saturday, 21st: SSPP 12:00pm Holy Family 3:00pm Monday, 23rd: St. Cecilia at 6:00pm I know how busy and jam-packed these Advent days are. I’ve had 4 Christmas parties in one week. It’s very difficult to find time for Jesus, to feel His presence in prayer. Really, it is. Yet, the closer we feel to Jesus, the happier our Christ-mas will be. He is the reason for the season, after all.

God Bless, Fr. Bob
