9:10 – 9:30 Morning Work Review schedule and jobs, Greeting, Announcements, Pledge of Allegiance

9:30 – 9:45 enVisions Math Review HW, HW help groups pose the question, collaboration

9:45 – 11:15 enVisions Math, IXL(Healthy Snack and 5 min break at 10:15)

Numeration (Place Value, Rounding), + & - Whole #s, Multiplication, Division, Fractions, Decimals, Measurement, Time, Temperature, Area & Perimeter, Solids, Data & Graphs, Equations, Probability

11:15-11:50 Wonders Reading Vocabulary, Fluency, Grammar, Parts of Speech, Conventions, Phonics, Complex Text, Non-Fiction, Fiction

11:50 – 12:25 Specialist Music, P.E., Library, Computer Lab (Type to Learn, Math, Google Docs)

12:25 – 1:10 Lunch & Recess Active playtime & water/bathroom break

Reading Comprehension, Literary Elements, Author’s Craft, Genre, Theme, Main Idea, Plot, Characters, Setting, Comprehension Strategies and Tools (Close Reading, Evidence in Text).

1:45 – 2:15 Literacy Block 3WritingWonders

Writing Process (e.g. Pre-Writing, Drafting, Revising, Editing, Publishing) Six+ Traits, Paragraphs, Topic Sentence, Poetry, Conventions, Listening skills.

2:15 – 2:30 Recess Active playtime & water/bathroom break

2:30 – 3:15 Social Studies, Science or Art

Washington State Geography, Regions & History, Oregon Trail, Electricity (1st trimester)Animal Studies (2nd), Land & Water (3rd)

3:15 – 3:30 Jobs & Pack-up Lunch box, take-home folder, write down assignments in planner, books in backpack. Desk clean, classroom job completed.

3:30 Dismissal

Specialist Schedule Monday: Music 11:55-12:25

Tuesday: P.E. 11:55-12:25

Wednesday: Music 11:55-12:25

Thursday P.E. 11:55-12:25

Friday: Library 9:30 -10:15

Computer Lab (time TBD)

Homework Math: 25-30 minutes/night

enVision Math: ~ 20 minutes nightly. Parents - please review & help your child as needed. Lessons can be viewed online. Fact Fluency: ~5 min/night.IXL Math: 15 minutes nightly (60/week) on computer.

Reading: 30 minutes/night (120/week) Wonders, Literacy Place: Read w/adult if possible, or to self on Wednesdays. Please discuss the story (e.g. characters, problem, resolution, key ideas, purpose). Scholastic News: Read w/adult if possible, or to self on weekend. Complete Reading Log w/parent signature. Goal: 2-3 Reading Counts tests/month. ~6 Book Projects per year.

Writing: 30 minutes/week (starting in Nov.) As assigned: Complete Scholastic News Worksheets. Complete Quick Writes, Summaries, other assignments. Use complete sentences, best handwriting, proper spelling and conventions.

Other: Please check Take-Home Folder nightly. Review & Sign Weekly Homework Reading Log. Complete assigned work in folder.
