and lipid membrane spaces. ROS can be reduced by Tocopherol, which in turn

is generated by vitamin C. By adding vitamin C and E to topical preparations,

we can limit this ROS activity cycle (see L. Packer article on vit C & E—on back).

Only water soluble vitamin C and oil soluble vitamin E are involved in this mechanism. If you use other forms of vitamin C, such as fat-soluble C, they

have to be broken down in the skin by an enzyme called esterases. Is it effective; nobody knows?

Vitamin C-Ferulic Acid 20% is a great anti-aging serum that helps build collagen and fight

off free radicals. Our Vitamin C comes from L-Ascorbic acid that protects water space

then we use tocotreniols to protect the oil space in the skin. This Vitamin C Ferulic Serum

is a water soluble product which makes it easier to absorb in the skin. The ferulic acid in

our product comes from a cinnamon base that helps brighten the skin making it a great

Peptides and Aging

Dermis matrix consists of collagen and elastin. These protenacious materials need to be in their normal, healthy stage to keep skin looking healthy, supple and wrinkle free. Peptides stimulate skin fibroblasts to rebuild the extra cellular matrix including collagen 1, IV, fibronectin and GAGS.

Collagen and elastins will and can get denatured or cross-linked by bad elements such as pollution, ultra violet rays, poor nutrition, chemical insults and also by normal aging process, called glycosylation (glycation). Sunscreens

We use all sunscreens in their natural solubility sate, which is the lipid soluble form. In their natural solubility form, there are no issues of migration, or interaction with other ingredients. None of the sunscreens went through thermal excitations, meaning they were not exposed to heat in making finished products. This way, the sunscreen activity is good and by assay we can prove the concentrations are good. Our products are esthetically good since we use only necessary ingredients. (No waxes, mineral oils, fillers, etc.)

Vitamin A

Vitamin A is known to synthesize proteins for membrane structures, which helps for epidermal cell membrane. This process is also called protein (Collagen) synthesis.

Vitamin A also curtails activity of collagen damaging metalloprotelinage enzymes. Vitamin A is good for skin elasticity and photo induced damages. We have about 8-mg / ml Vitamin A in our products

Vitamin E - is an excellent anti-oxidant just like Emblica. It interacts with reactive oxygen species (ROS) or free radicals, which are produced during sun exposure (Oxidative Chain Reaction). We have about 10 mg / ml of Vitamin E in our products

The PH balanced cleanser will help remove excess oil while bringing the bacteria (acne) to the surface to unclog pores. We suggest young and older people alike with acne problems use this cleanser at least three to for times weekly. We would also recommend using Super Silk Silt Masque one or twice weekly as an added benefit for problematic skin areas.

Super Silk Silt Masque

A unique combination of super absorbing silts from the fresh water lakes of Eastern Europe and the Dead Sea soaks up oils and unclogs pores. Rich trace minerals and hormone-like substances tighten the skin by

Stay True Lips

Stay True Lips contains the essential amino-acid Gluthathione to hold more moisture in the lip area, hence lips look fuller. Hale suggests Stay True Lips be used several times daily to moisten the lip and area around the lips. This product may be used before or after lip color is applied.


SB-7 Skin Brightener SB-7 is unique technology developed by Hale Cosmeceuticals Inc. that uses 7 different dipigmentations called skin lighteners / brighteners. This non-comedogenic, oil free serum may be applied to spotted areas or all over the face and body areas. Peels Glycolic Acid is a superficial peeling agent, naturally derived from sugar cane. It is beneficial in

improving skin, treating age spots, decreasing facial lines, and rejuvenating the skin’s surface.

Alpha hydroxyl peels, such as Glycolic, help to reveal a younger, healthier looking skin by

stimulating collagen and elastin growth, and accelerating the skin's renewal process. It will

minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles allow better absorption of treatment

products, and is an intense cleanser for mature skin.

Salicylic Acid loosens and removes aging cells, oils, and debris attached to the skin pore surface.

It is oil-soluble and lipophilic so it penetrates sebum filled follicles and cleans out clogged pores.

Salicylic acid stimulates new healthy skin cell production and increases collagen formation,

resulting in marked improvement in acne prone skin. Salicylic acid will decrease fine lines,

smooth skin, even out pigmentation and reduce pore size, while shedding dead and damaged skin

cells.

Lactic Acid is a non-irritating rapid exfoliator. It is an alpha hydroxyl acid derived from sour

milk; ideal for sensitive skin or skin unable to tolerate glycolic acid. Lactic acid peels help to

eliminate germs, toxins, and dead cells. It also helps to maintain the skin’s pH factor. Lactic

acid occurs naturally in the skin and is a primary component of the skin’s natural moisturizing

factor. It is less harsh and more moisturizing than Glycolic acid skin peels. Lactic acid will help

to stimulate and speed skin cell turnover on the surface, producing more vibrant and smoother-

looking skin. In the deep layers of skin, new collagen & elastin will be stimulated, making the

skin thicker, tighter and firmer.

The Jessner peel is a highly effective peeling agent formulated with a combination of

Resorcinol, Lactic Acid and Salicylic Acid. This peel is to be used by only experienced peel

users who have done Salicylic 20% or Glycolic 50% or higher. The Jessner peel is used to

lighten areas of hyper pigmentation, treat mild acne and acne scars, and to treat photo-damaged

and aged, sun damaged skin. Jessner peels are used when a deeper peel is needed. They cause

the top layers of skin to flake off while stimulating the deeper layers. The top layers are the most

sun-damaged, wrinkled, unattractive layers; after they are removed, the new fresh layer of skin,

the dermis, is also stimulated by the Jessner peel, causing new fibroblasts and collagen to

develop, reducing the depth of lines and wrinkles. Repetitive use of the Jessner peels improves tone, texture, and quality of the skin.

FDA guidelines recommend testing any product that contains BHA on a small area of skin

before applying it to a large area. If using BHA products, one experiences skin irritation or

prolonged stinging, STOP using product and consult a physician. DO NOT exceed the

recommended applications. Keep away from infants & children and always use a sun protection

when using BHA products. If using a Retinol product, stop 2 weeks prior to doing the peel.


Glycolic Peel Instructions: Apply a few drops of the Glycolic Acid solution to a gauze pad or a brush and gently apply to

skin, avoiding eyes, lips, and mucus membrane areas. Leave the solution on initially for 30

seconds; building up to 1 to 2 minutes as tolerance increases (you may fan the area during this

time to alleviate discomfort). Contact time of glycolic should never exceed 5 minutes. Remove

all traces of peel with water or a baking soda & water combination or our DMAE 5% to

neutralize. Apply Hale Cosmeceuticals Dermist M3HA to moisten & take away redness.

Glycolic Acid Peels come in 20% 30% 40% 50% & 70 % strengths as well as 20% 30% & 50%

blended strength.

Salicylic Acid Peel Instructions: Apply a few drops of the Salicylic Acid solution to gauze pad or a brush and apply peel gently to

the skin in a circular motion; after 30 seconds rinse with cool water. Note: a frosting or tingling

sensation may occur which indicates product is exfoliating the skin. This peel may be used

every 2 to 3 weeks. Apply Hale Cosmeceuticals Dermist M3HA (Hyaluronic Acid) to moisten &

take away any redness.

Salicylic Acid Peels come in 20% & 35% strengths as well as 20% & 35 % blended strength

Lactic Acid Peel Instructions: Apply 2 to 3 drops Lactic Acid solution to a gauze pad or a brush and apply to the face where it

is needed. Keep solution at least a quarter of an inch away from the eyes, lips and mucus

membranes. Do not leave on more than 5 minutes. Remove all traces of peel with copious

amounts of water. Pay special attention to areas around the eyebrows, behind the ears, and in the

creases around the nose. Pat dry with cotton or paper towel (do not rub the skin at this stage).

Apply Hale Cosmeceuticals Dermist M3HA (Hyaluronic Acid) to moisten & take away any

redness. This procedure may be used every 10 to 14 days.

Lactic Acid Peels come in 30% & 50% strengths as well as 30% & 50% blended strength

Jessner Acid Peels Instructions: The Jessner peel should be applied by experienced peel users only. To begin, use glycolic

salicylic wash or acetone to help prep the skin. Then let the skin dry. Apply the jessner peel

solution with light gentle brush strokes onto the skin and then layer the peel. A mild stinging

sensation may be felt for several minutes after application. Using a gauze pad, apply 2 to 3 thin

coats to entire facial area, avoiding eyes & lips (may use a fan to cool skin). Leave on according

to client tolerance level, not to exceed 2 to 3 minutes. Remove peel with water or a water &

baking soda combination. Apply Hale Cosmeceuticals Dermist M3HA to cool & soothe any

redness. This procedure may be applied every 2 to 3 weeks.

Jessner Acid Peels come in SLR 7/7/7 and SLR 14/14/14 strengths

Blended Acid Peels Instructions: Apply a few drops of the GSL solutions and gently apply to the skin with a brush or gauze pad.

Avoid eyes, lips, and mucus membrane areas. Leave the solution on for 30 seconds; building

up to 1 minute to 1 minute 30 seconds as tolerance increases.(you may use fan the area during

this time to alleviate discomfort). Remove the peels with water, baking soda water combination,

or DMAE neutralizer to neutralize the peel. Apply Hale Cosmeceuticals Dermist M3HA

(Hyaluronic Acid) to hydrate and minimize redness. As for the SM acid solution use a gauze pad

or a brush and apply the the skin gently in a circular motion. Then after 30 seconds, rinse with

cool water or use DMAE neutralizer spray to neutralize the skin. Note: a frosting or tingling

The Phytic Lightening Peel acts to block the synthesis of melanin in the epidermal layer

of the skin. This is the layer that has been most damaged by environmental factors such

as sun exposure, smoking, and pollution. This peel will refresh and brighten the skin by

chelating the entrance of iron in the formation of melanin.

The combination of phytic acid and glycolic acid will provide a younger, healthier look

in addition to lightening the skin to improve uneven skin tones. Benefits:

Directions Phytic 25% / 35% Glycolic Peel:

First, be sure to cleanse your face. Then, apply a few drops of Phytic lighting peel where

Leave the solution on for 5-10 minutes and then wash off with water. Re-apply the

Phytic peel to the designated area and leave on for another 5 minutes. Afterwards, wash

HALE Cosmeceuticals Peels Protocol

Mandelic Acid- This acid is derived from nuts. It is beneficial for skin types that have hyperpigmentation,

Melasma, and age spots. This peel would be highly recommend to use on Fitzpatrick skin types 4-6.

Instructions:

To begin treatment, you will need to cleanse the face. Afterwards, apply Mandelic Acid with a gauge pad or

fan brush in the areas you would like to improve and let it stay on the face for 30 seconds. You can leave on

longer if needed. Then apply DMAE neutralizer 5% to neutralize. Afterwards, apply Dermist DM3HA to

reduce redness and to add hydration to the skin. This treatment can be done every 3-4 weeks. We

recommend using Hale's other brightening products for better results.

We carry Mandelic in 20%, 35%, 50% at a 2.0pH.

TCA Peel

Instructions:

The TCA Peel should be applied by experience peel uses only. Test the peel behind the ear for sensitivity. To

begin treatment, cleanse the face to degrease all oils and make sure the skin is completely dry. Apply TCA

solution with a fan brush onto the skin. There will be a stinging sensation that you will feel from this peel.

Apply in facial area and then leave on according to tolerance level. Start off in 20-30 second intervals and

add time once you have understanding how it reacts to you clients skin (expect frosting). You can layer this

peel to add more effect. This peel can be neutralized with our DMAE 5% Neutralizer or water & baking soda.

Afterwards, add Dermist M3HA to face area to help reduce redness and to hydrate the skin. This treatment

can be used every 4-5 weeks.

We carry TCA in 15% at 2.0 pH.

Plantinum Peel

Instructions:

Plantinum peel is made of alpha and beta acids. In the Platinum Peel there is 7% salicylic, 7% Lactic, and 7%

Reservatrol at 2.0pH. This peel is a nice rejuvenating peel. You apply it to the face area with gauze pad or

fan brush and leave on for 30-60 seconds. You can add time once you know how it reacts to your clients

skin. Do not exceed more than 5 minutes on the skin. Use DMAE Neutralizer 5% to neutralize or water &

baking soda. Afterwards, apply Dermist M3HA to the face for hydration. This peel may be used every 3-4

weeks.
