Welcome to Growing Success! Growing Success is a national farmer training program providing wholesale and direct marketing and on- farm food safety training for specialty crop farmers. Created by FamilyFarmed.org, with support from the Risk Management Agency of the USDA, the workshop and training materials are meant to help small and mid-acreage fruit and vegetable growers learn best practices, build skills and access some of the resources needed to scale up into wholesale and institutional markets. As part of our 2016 Growing Success Program, you will receive at no cost: 1. One of the following educational materials: Wholesale Success: A Farmer’s Guide to Food Safety, Selling, Postharvest Handling, and Packing Produce, Direct Market Success: A Farmer’s Guide to Selling at Farmers Markets, Farmstands, through CSAs or Online Marketplaces and to Restaurants, Food Safety Binder & Action Plans 2. Follow up food safety, crop insurance and marketing resources and information via two email newsletters following the workshop, and invitation to join online network/discussion group to continue topic conversations started at the workshops. 3.
