MISSION STATEMENT
Saint Michael’s Catholic Community is a group of Catholic Christians associated with the Armed Forces under the guidance of the Holy Spirit working in and
through the Archbishop of the Archdiocese for the Military Services, United States of America, his priest-chaplains, deacons, the military chain of command, and
the Catholic faithful. By the action of the Holy Spirit, the community is dedicated to proclaiming the Good news of Jesus Christ through Apostolic sacramental
worship, charitable service and faithful catechesis to Military Service Members and their families assigned to Fort Gordon, Georgia.

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION (RE)

Adoration/Holy Hour on Wednesday
Join us for adoration every Wednesday at 1830 hrs. We meet every
week to dedicate an hour in Eucharistic Adoration. This is a great way
to increase your faith and help you with your prayer life. Reconciliation
is also available during holy hour.
KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS (KofC) The K of C is conducting a Forty (40) Cans for Lent program designed to help fight hunger. This is an opportunity to take a small sacrifice and turn it into a big difference in the lives of others. Each family is asked to collect one can of food per day during the forty days of Lent, which began February 10, 2016,
and then one extra can per person on Easter Sunday (March 27, 2016). POC or is Richard Capozzoli, (706) 589-1070.

CATHOLIC WOMEN OF THE CHAPEL (CWOC)
The next CWOC Meeting is scheduled for Friday April 1st,
beginning at 6:30 p.m. with Rosary. POC is Nicole Drake,

CATHOLIC YOUTH MINISTRY (CYM)
This Sunday is youth Sunday at the 10 a.m. mass fol-
lowed by our monthly meeting in Bldg 13 of the Reli-
gious Education Center. ALL RISING 9th GRADERS

Recurring
There is a Pilgrimage of the Relics of St. Maxi-
milian Kolbe travelling through various states
during this year of Mercy. Stops include North
Carolina, Georgia (stopping in Atlanta April 15-
17 and Jonesboro, April 21-24) and Florida.

Join us as will begin to pray a Novena of the Chaplet of
Divine Mercy beginning at 7:30 p.m. Holy Saturday and
ending on the Feast of Divine Mercy on Sunday, April
3rd. We will pray the Chaplet before Mass during this
time in place of the Rosary.
Matrimony
Arrangements for marriage preparation should be made at least 6 months in advance
of the proposed date. If there has been a prior marriage that has not been annulled
by the Catholic Church, more time may be required. Initially, all requests of infor-
mation should be directed to the Senior Catholic Chaplain at (706) 791-3525. Pre-
Cana sessions are being offered as needed on Wednesdays. Other requirements may
apply. Sign-up is required. Please contact Deacon Dave to schedule your session.
Baptism
In order to receive Baptism, parent(s) must be registered and attending Mass. Dates
and times of Baptism can ONLY be set after registering for Pre-Baptism class, and
talking with a Priest. Baptism and preparation for Baptism must be arranged 90 days
in advance. Special permission must be granted by the senior priest to parents that
request the Baptism or pre-Jordan class 89 days in advance or less.
Anointing of the Sick
If you are in need of this sacrament, or if you are going to be hospitalized, please
contact Father Matt (706) 791-3809.
Pre-Jordan for Godparents & Pre-Cana Classes
The next Pre-Jordan class for godparents will be announced soon. In the meantime,
we would like to ask godparents to schedule the pre-Jordan class with at least 90
days in advance. Special permission must be granted by the senior priest to godpar-
ents that request the pre-Jordan class 89 days in advance or less. This class is need-
ed for godparents-to-be. Pre-Cana meetings are scheduled on a needed basis. Please,
