IBM Missionary Welcome

The Mission Involvement Committee is happy to announce the arrival of the Hall

family who are IMB missionaries visiting with our church and community this

summer. We look forward to their participation with the activities of our

congregation. We also are happy that they can be of service to other churches in

the area during this time. A brunch in being planned for June 23 following the early

worship service and Sunday School as well so that you may have the opportunity to

meet Larry, Lisa, and their children, Evan, Micah, and Jadon. A money tree will be

available for friends to share notes of welcome. We appreciate the overwhelming

welcome they are already receiving from the church. Thank you.

June 23rd: Missionary brunch in fellowship hall. GAs/RAs please wear vests and plan to serve during Sunday School hour.

June 24th: Family Night at The Splash Pad at Scottsboro Recreation Center, 6—8pm.

June 30th—July 3rd: VBS for ages 3yrs—5th Grade. 5:30 –8:30pm.

July 31st: Back to school pool party at Gunter’s Landing. 4—6pm.

August 4th: FBC Family Prayer Walk. Meet at FBC at 2pm.

FBC needs 1-2 additional volunteers to help on Friday, June 28, from 2pm—4pm. If you can help, please sign the sheet on Amy’s desk in the office. Information for

Ladies Bible Study

Priscilla Shirer’s DVD study of Gideon. Begins June 25, at 7:00pm, at the

home of Heather Jones. All are welcome!

Senior Adults

Frank Jones Ministry is presenting OASIS ’19 at Southside Baptist Church Gadsden,

July 11. The gospel group “Paid In Full”, Frank Jones and Bob Smith will present

special music. Debbie Childers will give you a full dose of what the Bible refers to as

a good medicine, laughter. The event will be 1:30-4:15 PM. Church Bus is available

and the cost is $20 at the door and $17 in advance. A Sign-Up list is on the table

opposite the office and information in your classrooms.
