2009 Vision and Objectives

VISION

Fair Lakes League was created to preserve the value of the Fair Lakescommunity of commercial/office, retail, residential, and other related uses, by

providing a first-class mixed-use atmosphere enhanced by community

programs that benefit the residential, corporate and retail population.

Through effective management and programming, our goal is to maintain a

beautiful community, provide amenities that people care about, and createcohesiveness between Fair Lakes’ residents, employees and business

owners, so that all within the community thrive and grow. It is our mission to

create a sense of pride in being a part of Fair Lakes, and to further establish

the reputation that Fair Lakes is a caring and friendly community.

Effectively communicate events, programs, store openings,

items of importance to the community. Generate interest and

participation.

The Fair Lakes Flash (newsletter) is direct mailed to 15,700 addresses in

22033. An additional 1,300 are distributed to area office suites, retailers,

restaurants and leasing offices.

The Fair Lakes website generates an average of 8,500 sessions per month,

an average daily session count of 222.

Professional posters in office lobbies promote events and programs.

Produce cross-promotional programs between Fair Lakes’

restaurants, retailers and residents.

The first “You Can Find it in Fair Lakes” 2009 Business Directory and

Coupon Book will be direct mailed to 22033

Create programs that help increase sales at Fair Lakes’

shopping centers and businesses. 

“You Can Find it in Fair Lakes” Coupon/Directory mailer to 22033

Business owners are invited to participate in SpringFest’s

“Merchant Row.”

Store to Store Trick-or-Treat takes place at Fair Lakes’ shopping

centers.

Food Drives and Bike Drives take place at shopping centers.

Business owners, corporations and individuals have opportunities

to advertise in the newsletter.

The Fair Lakes Flash is also utilized to promote new businesses

in an effort to create and promote a vital commercial environment.

Offer programs that benefit the community,

reward Fair Lakes’ residents and employees,

and make Fair Lakes a special place to live and work.

The Fair Lakes Shuttle to and from the Vienna Metro is available to

those living and working in the Fair Lakes League.

The Fair Lakes Scholarship Program annually awards collegescholarships.

The Fair Lakes League is committed to maintaining a beautiful, clean

place to live, visit, work and shop. The League manages an extensive

landscaping and maintenance program, providing annual and seasonal

color changes, holiday enhancement, safe walking and biking trails, andenjoyable lakes and fountain amenities.

Fair Lakes Shuttle Ridership averages 360

per day and is up 30% in the past year.

Fair Lakes was awarded a Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments’

2007 Commuter Connections Award for its commitment to operating the Fair Lakes Shuttle as an amenity to the community.

The Shuttle program was recognized for its benefit to Fair Lakes residents,

employers, employees, its positive environmental impact on the metro-D.C. area,

its economic and financial benefits to the community, and its assistance in

decreasing traffic and congestion on our roads and highways.
