Options to buy
Help to Buy: Equity Loan
Provided by the Government, the scheme is open to both first-time buyers, and existing homeowners on new build properties up to a maximum value of £600,000.
Through this scheme, the Government will lend you up to 20% of the cost of your chosen home. You’ll then need a deposit of 5% and a 75% mortgage to cover the remaining 80% of the cost.
For the first five years after you’ve made your purchase, you won’t have to pay any fees on the 20% loan provided by the Government.
Help to Buy: Shared Ownership
Shared Ownership offers you the chance to buy a share of your home between 25% and 75% of the home’s value and pay rent on the remaining share.
