I’m going to Dundrum library
If I need help I can talk to someone and ask
questions first.
I can call 01 2985000
I can ask the person
for a tour of the
library.
About Dundrum Library
There are lots of different
people who work at the
library who I can talk to.
The library is usually a quiet
place where people talk
quietly, relax and read books.
Sometimes it might be noisy
and busy. If it is noisy I can
ask for help.
When I get to the library I will
see a desk.
How I become a member of the library
I will talk to a librarian who
works there to become a
member of the library.
I will tell them my name,
address, date of birth,
telephone number and email
address.
How I become a member of the library
I will show the librarian photo
identification. This can be a
driving licence or passport
I will be given a library card
to sign. This makes me a
member of the library.
I will also need to show proof
of my address. This can be a
bank statement or household
bill.
When I visit Dundrum Library
In the library there will be
shelves of books, CDs and
DVDs.
These are bean bags I can sit
on
I can sit in a chair to read a
book.
I can borrow a book, CD or
DVD and take it home with
me.
If I want to borrow a book I
will talk to a librarian and ask
for help.
The librarian will show me
how to borrow a book, CD or
DVD. They will tell me when I
need to bring it back to the
library.
The library will also have
some computers.
To use the computers I will
need to reserve a time or wait
for one to be available.
I can talk to a librarian about
this.
The computers are free to
use.
There is a toilet in the library
that I can use.
When I have finished I will
leave the library.
I can see if there is an event
on in the library at any time
by looking at the screen.
Thank you for visiting Dundrum Library
