Features Of Admission Process

The Directorate of Technical Education, Mumbai is the Competent Authority for admission to First Year Engineering.

It conducts a Centralized Admission Process (CAP) for the admission to First Year BE.

There are around 1.35 lakh seats available in 12 universities and 366 institutions in Maharashtra.


The office of Joint Director, Technical Education, Amravati is the regional body which controls the admission process at local level.

There are about 11600 seats in 28 Institutes in Amravati region.

Features Of Admission Process


Eligibility Candidate should be an Indian National. Candidate should have passed the HSC (Std.XII)

examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects:

1) English,

2) Physics,

3) Mathematics

4) Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject


Eligibility for CAP & Institute Level Admission.

Candidate must have secured minimum 50 % marks (149 or above) for open categories.

For reserved categories minimum 45 % marks (134 or above), in the subjects Physics, Mathematics and

chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subject added together in HSC examination.

Candidate must have to appear JEE Main(Paper-I) 2015 Exam.

Steps In The Admission Through CAP

1) To Purchase an Application kit from ARC Center having the cost of Rs.700/-(For General Category) and Rs.500/-(For Backward Category).

2) The application kit Contains an USER-ID and PASSWORD.

3) Fill the Online Application form for CAP from anywhere (Home, Cyber Café, ARC) by eligible candidates. Form is available on website www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in/fe2015 with the help of given User ID & Password.



4) After entering user ID & password you will get online application form. During online filling of the form, all the students have to enter their necessary qualification & personal details carefully and take the print out of application form after complete registration.

5) After online registration, students must have to visit at any ARC with original documents and the print out of an application form for verification.

6) Once the verification process is done by ARC, students will get the acknowledgement printout as well as the confirmation by SMS/Email.



7) As per the displayed schedule merit list will be displayed on website www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in/fe2015

8) Merit list will be prepared probably on the basis of Composite score i.e., marks obtained after adding 50% of JEE (Main)2015 (Paper 1) marks and 50% of normalized Standard XII (Board or Equivalent Examination) marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

9) For filling optional form student has to visit above website from anywhere. By using login ID & password you will get link of option form.



10) You have to enter min. 1 and max. 100 option and “Confirm“ the option by clicking “confirm” button.

11) While filling the options - branch code and college code is required which will available web site of DTE.

12) As per the schedule displayed, the student will get Allotment letter from his / her login ID for CAP Round I.



13) Report to respective Institutes as per allotment of CAP Round I along with original documents and allotment letter within given time.

14) Above procedure shall be followed for CAP Round II as per the displayed schedule.

15) Round – III is a counseling round (If seats are available). It is part of CAP will be conducted at six different locations in Maharashtra state. Locations will be displayed later.

16) Those registered students who have not allotted college in Ist & IInd rounds will be eligible for counseling round.


Filling Of Vacancies In The Institute Level After CAP

i) Non JEE / JEE appear students / Non registered CAP students / Diploma students with 50 % & 45% marks in HSC (group) / Diploma examination.

ii) Student will get choice of branch as per the Institute Level Merit List and availability of seats.

Note : Candidate admitted in against CAP / Institute Level Seats will not get any scholarship from state government.

TFWS

Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFWS) seats are

those seats where a student does not have to pay

any tuition fee throughout the degree course.


Who is eligible for TFWS?

Only those candidates who have an annual family

income less than Rs. 6 lakh from all possible

sources are eligible to apply through the TFWS

scheme.

There are 5% seats available over and above the sanctioned intake for TFWS candidates.

Features of TFWS

Once a student enrolls in a course under TFWS, s/he will not be allowed to change or shift courses

Only Maharashtra State candidates will be eligible for admission through this scheme.


SCHOLARSHIP SECTION

Maharashtra State Government offers following fees concession to CAP admitted students in engineering, pharmacy, polytechnic etc.

more than 4.5 lakhs

(C) Eligibility for Minority Concession

(i) Applicant should be domicile of Maharashtra state and passed SSC from Maharashtra state .

(ii) This concession is only applicable to CAP admitted students belonging to Muslim, Sikh, Buddhist, Christian, Parsi and Jain community .

(iii) Candidates get Rs. 25,000/- concession in tuition fee.

(iv) Total annual income of family/ Guardian should not be more than 2.5 lakhs.

OBJECTIVE

The Star Educational Loan Scheme aims at providing

financial support from the bank to deserving/ meritorious

students for pursuing higher education in India.

The main emphasis is that every meritorious student is

provided with an opportunity to pursue education with the

financial support on affordable terms and conditions.


Student’s Eligibility Criteria

Should be an Indian National;

Secured admission to professional/technical courses in India

through Entrance Test/Merit based selection process/CAP.

Good academic career. The student should not have outstanding education loan

from any other Institution.

Father/Mother should be co-borrower. Branch nearest to the permanent residence of student will

Expenses Considered For Loan :

Fee payable to college/school/hostel* Examination/Library/Laboratory fee. Purchase of books/equipments/instruments/uniforms. Caution deposit/building fund/refundable deposit supported by

Institution bills/receipts. Travel expenses/passage money for studies abroad. Purchase of computers / Laptop – essential for completion of the

course. Insurance cover for the student. Any other expense required to complete the course – like study

tours, project work, thesis, etc.

Quantum Of Finance

Need based finance subject to repaying capacity of

the parents/students with margin and the following

ceilings :

Studies in India – Maximum Rs.10.00 lakh


Bank Charges

For Studies in India- NIL.

Document /Stamp Duty.

One time charges for any deviations from the scheme norms including approval of courses outside the scheme applicable @ Rs.500 for loan upto Rs. 4 lacs, Rs.1000 for loan up to Rs.7.50 Lacs and Rs.2000 for Loan over Rs.7.50 Lacs.

In respect of loans availed by borrowers from rural areas from the Rural Branches – Charges NIL


SECURITY

Up to Rs. 4 lakh : No security

Above Rs.4 lakh & up to Rs.7.5 lakh: Collateral security in the form of a suitable third party guarantee.

Above Rs.7.5 lakh : Co-obligation of Parents together with tangible Collateral security of suitable value along with the assignment of future income of the student for payment of instalments.

Note : The security can be in the form of land/building/Govt. Securities/Public Sector Bonds/NSC/KVP/LIP/ Banks Term Deposit etc., in the name of Student/Parent/Guardian/Guarantor with suitable margin.


Rate Of Interest

Upto Rs.7.50 lacs – (presently 13.20 %)

Above Rs.7.50 lacs – ( presently 12.70 %)


Repayment Of The Loan

Repayment holiday/Moratorium: Course period + 1 year or 6 months after getting job, whichever is earlier.

After commencement of repayment. Loan amount up to Rs.7.50 lacs: 10 years. Loan amount over Rs.7.50 lacs: 15 years.


Other Conditions

Loan to be disbursed in stages as per requirement / demand, directly to the Institution/Vendors of books/equipments/instruments to the extent possible.

Student to produce mark list of previous term/semester before availing next instalment.

Student / Parent to provide latest mailing address, in case of any change.


Student /Parent to inform Branch immediately on change of course /completion of studies/termination of studies/ any refund of fees by college /institution /successful placement / obtaining job/change of job etc.

On Line facility available for submission of application, tracking of application status and resume completion of incomplete application
