Welcome Video
Change is vital to progress!!

• New approach to teaming• The student’s pod is where the majority of their
classes are• 3rd Hour is the student’s homeroom
Great Academic Support• Learning Lab

distraction
Ms. Hawkins’Academic Lab
• 6th Period for 53 minutes on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday.
• Students will earn a letter grade in Ac Lab
• 1st Quarter—Math Intervention• 2nd Quarter—Math Applications• 3rd Quarter—Math Applications• 4th Quarter—Math Applications
Ac LabMath Applications
Students will learn how to apply their math skills in real-life situations!
Students will learn…• How to use Microsoft Excel• How to use a graphing calculator• How to make a budget• About credit cards, interest, mortgages• How to plan a vacation, model a house, etc.• How math is used in sports, video games, careers• Tricks on how to solve problems in their head
