Now about me…o Mike McGuire

� Married with a three-year-old son named Aidan� Grew up down the street in Mt. Greenwood but live

in the western suburbs currently� M.A. in Rhetoric and Composition from NEIU� B.A. from UIC, double major in English and

psychology� Third year at MVCC� Taught 2 years prior to MVCC at Kishwaukee College� Before that another 2 years part-time at Waubonsee

Community College� Worked in the IT/management consulting industry

during that time in knowledge management, communications, and corporate education

� Taught English as a foreign language in Japan� As a teacher, I hold my students to high standards of

excellence, but I will do all that I can to help them succeed (because I know they can)
