Welcome Back To Our Campus The following guidelines will help us serve one another in love. We may make adjustments as we move forward under unusual circumstances, so pray for wisdom for your leaders, favor with our government, and patience for all of us. Please allow staff and ushers to direct you as needed.
Doors will be held or propped open.
Seating in the sanctuary will be limited to 250 people, with individu-als or families six feet apart.
Overflow seating in the CAA with live streaming and the same seat-ing protocols.
Hand sanitizer available; Face masks available for those who don’t have one but want one.
Dismissal will be by the ushers, a row at a time beginning in the back.
If you’re sick, please stay home. If any member of your household exhibits symptoms of COVID-19, please stay home. If you’re in one of the most vulnerable categories, consider staying home. Services will continue to be streamed on our YouTube channel.
We trust people to take personal responsibility for their own health and safety. This implies healthy practices (hygiene, diet, exercise, etc.) before, after, and between church gatherings.
We will respect the fact that people’s comfort levels vary. If you’re more cautious, try not to judge those who seem less concerned. If you’re among the less concerned, don’t intrude into the personal space of others unless you’re sure they don’t mind. (We prefer this neighbor-respecting counsel to a list of rules about handshakes, hugs and high fives.)

Our Current Sermon Series, “Focused on the Family,” looks to Scrip-ture for God’s counsel to moms and dads, children and parents. Check out the “Resources for Changing Lives” minibooks in the lobby. Books are 1 for $3 or 2 for $5 and due to the sensitive/private nature of some of the books there is a self-pay box available.
Summer Schedule To Begin In July We will move to the air -conditioned C.A.A. July 5 or 12 (stay tuned), with overflow seating in Fellowship Hall and/or Seminar area. Christian education hour to resume as well.
Pray for the family of Billy McCullough who went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, June 9th, 2020.
Prayer Needed – Please pray for VBS and for our Children’s Ministry Director as she and her team finish up with preparations for the exciting week of VBS. Safety, Salvation and Discipleship in a super-fun setting with amazing leaders are what we pray and aim for.
Promised Land Range will be open June 15, at 4:00pm. Contact Pas-tor Mike for more details.
VBS 2020 Children’s Ministry Director, Terri Allen, will be at the Welcome Counter. Families, please stop by with questions, registration forms, pay for T-shirts; and stop by if you’d like to consider serving at VBS
VBS June 15-19, 9:00-11:00am (notice the ending time change)
CCC families, if you’ve not registered your children for VBS please do so to-day.
Ages: Those entering first grade in Fall 2020 through entering 6th grade.
We will have a limited number of VBS take home bags with crafts and snack (pre-packaged) for those unable to attend.
VBS will be live streamed so everyone around the world can watch and participate! The link to the YouTube channel will be posted on the CCC website, on Facebook: CCC page, CCC VBS page and CCC Children’s Ministry page.
Youth Groups Are Live Both senior and junior high youth groups are resuming in person starting today and tomorrow. We believe that this is the best move at this time in order to provide for the wholistic health of our youth as we consider the current health crises of Covid-19, loneli-ness, anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation. Some basic precautions will be in place and we respect every family’s decision as to what is best for them. Please note that any student exhibiting potential Covid-19 symptoms should remain home. Door Greeters @ Love INC - Teens are needed to serve in 3 hour shifts as door greeters at the Loved Twice thrift store run by Love INC in Waukegan. Volunteers would be serving as the first friendly face that encounters customers while also insuring that hand washing, masks and customer counts are in order. Family Resource Center Marketing - FRCZ is looking for a few pro-life, teen girls to help brand our local crisis pregnancy center in a way that best serves teen girls in the years to come. Contact Pastor Leo for more information.
Mondays @ The Food Pantry - We have a group of teens that serve at The Giving Point Food Pantry (located on the corner of Lewis Ave. and 9th St. in Winthrop Harbor) every Monday from about 12:30-5:30. Careful health precautions are being taken and all food pick up is cur-rently curbside.
