Welcome to ASHFORD UNIVERSITY Ashford University’s articulation agreements offer transferring students the opportunity to carry with them the credit they have already earned to pursue academic and professional goals through any one of the Bachelor’s degrees offered at Ashford University. This Articulation Agreement, in the spirit of cooperation, offers students a structure through which transfer articulation on all levels can be supported and includes the following benefits for the transferring student:
• UP TO 90 APPROVED CREDITSPast efforts and life experiences are valuable; students may be able to transfer both traditionaland non-traditional credits into their chosen academic major. They can transfer up to 90approved credits, including a maximum of 75 non-traditional credits (subject to state law),toward a Bachelor’s degree.
• ASSOCIATE’S DEGREES/General Education BlockCredits earned as part of an Associate degree where a student meets the general educationrequirements for Bachelor of Arts degrees offered through state universities are accepted asfulfilling all General Education and competency requirements of a Bachelor’s program, with theexception of the General Education Capstone. If a student’s Associate degree does not meet theabove requirement, the Registrar’s Office will still evaluate the degree and deem it acceptableto meet all General Education and competency requirements.
• AWARD OF UPPER DIVISION CREDITIf students transfer lower-division credits beyond what is required for an Associate’s degree, orif the lower division credits are equivalent to designated upper division course content, thesecourses may be evaluated by Ashford University and, where appropriate, they may be appliedtoward major courses.
• REVERSE TRANSFERAshford University will participate, when applicable, in the reverse transfer process for thosestudents who transferred prior to completing an associate degree. The student will be offeredthe opportunity to earn said degree via the reverse transfer process.
• DEGREE MAPSIn addition to the benefits outlined above, view the Degree Maps below for select programstransferring into Ashford University. These degree maps will show potential Ashford studentshow their completed general education and program coursework can transfer into AshfordUniversity’s four year programs. These programs are not the only options. See the entire list ofAshford programs.
