André Leon Marie Nicolas Rieu, born October 1st 1949. As a young boy,
he watched his father conduct the Limburg Symphony Orchestra and
was seduced by the violin bows moving up and down in unison. He was
bewitched by the instrument and beguiled by his pretty blonde-haired
violin tutor… for André Rieu, music has always been about love.
In 70 years that passion has never faded and for his birthday celebration
André has handpicked some of his favourite performances from his career
so far. André Rieu; “It was an impossible challenge but I always choose music
which touches my heart and I know it will touch your heart too!”
Among his choices are You Raise Me Up from Mainau, My Way from New
York, My Heart Will Go On from Vienna and many more. Enjoy the party!
