Amoena’s extensive experience constructing non-wired

bras over the past several decades has been applied to

create Amoena Mia, a line that gives weightless support

six styles available in band sizes 32 to 46, up to an

H cup, with accents like delicate galloon lace and

Amoena integrated the temperature-equalizing material (or Phase

Change Material) into the center, sides and slings of each and every

Amoena Mia style to maximize its benefits. The Comfort+ technology

transfers heat away from the body as needed, absorbing excess body

What’s in a bra?

A common refrain of bra Fit Specialists and retailers is that

80 percent of women wear the wrong size bra. To help

alleviate this issue—and to help women determine the

best size for their body types, bra fittings are now offered

by most specialty retailers. But the correct size is only part

Galloon Lace

The seductive edge lace is made with fine gauge, Textronic

equipment that provides lace as durable as it is beautiful.

The Edwardian scroll motif has a dramatic effect in

contrast with the supportive French fishnet background

mesh adding additional dimension. The tonal cross dye

Viscose yarns have subtle contrast and sophistication.

Animal Feather Jacquard

The modern all-over animal and feather jacquard lace

is made from smooth jacquard stretch mesh. The mesh

is created with ultra fine 56 gauge warp knit Racheltronic

technology and includes a high performance 280 denier

spandex to provide the incredible lift and weightless

support. A slight luster has been added to the jacquard

print to accent the playful print.

Embry Lace

The Austrian designed tulle embroidery is inspired by

watercolor gardens. The luxurious embroidery results in

a veiled illusion over the strap, top cup and center front

accent, with a sheer effect where the tulle ground is

exposed. The fine stitching is soft to the touch for

enhanced comfort.

Main Body Fabric

The Amoena Mia bra collection is focused on the

benefits of weightless support. The main body fabric

is a high performance 77% nylon and 23% spandex

that provides the ultimate benefits of body contouring

strength and excellent recovery. Made from fine 55 denier

nylon, the fabric's memory-flex fit is accommodating

with definitive support and durability.

Comfortable Back Closure

Amoena has used the ultra comfort foam hook and

eye back closure in all of the bras. The cushioned back

has a foam inner layer and is covered with a micro soft

outer fabric. The edges are ultrasonically sealed for a

smooth clean edge against the skin. Amoena added extra

length to the cushion tab for the most reliable comfort.

Luminous Breast Cancer Foundation

Alexandra Boos has been a full figured model

in New York City for over two decades with an insider’s

view of the glamorous industries of fashion and beauty.

Six years ago her mother was diagnosed with stage four

breast cancer. Sharing the journey of chemotherapy,

radiation, hair loss, fatigue, breast surgery, and more

allowed her to witness firsthand the challenges

recovering from breast cancer can have physically,

emotionally and spiritually. Depression and self-image

can have a large impact on recovery. Her mother only

wanted to look and feel like herself in order to enjoy each

moment of her life while healing. Many of the products

not considered “life saving”, such as her wig and skincare

after radiation, were costly and not covered by insurance.

Her mother was fortunate that she had insurance, but

what about those women without? Alexandra, a mother

herself, knew that women often meet their families’

needs before considering their own. The un-insured and

under-insured should never have to choose between

paying for a product that allows them to recover with

dignity or a basic bill for survival. The dichotomy of holding

her mom’s hand during chemotherapy and then finding

herself on a photo shoot the next day gave birth to the

idea of developing a platform where fashion with a heart

can give back to the community.

Alexandra now utilizes her career as a platform to

invite the glamorous industries of fashion, beauty, and

entertainment to partner with the best of breast health

care providers to meet the needs of those who are

un-insured and under-insured. Within each of us is a

luminous inner glow when we are living our life to the

fullest. A breast cancer diagnosis no longer needs

to extinguish that light and stop patients from embracing

their journey with passion and hope. The mission of

Luminous Breast Cancer Foundation is to provide

products, services and educational programs for the

un-insured and under-insured breast cancer patient,

and help her to look and feel her best throughout her

journey. Thus, the goal is to empower and support

quality of life and recovery, so nothing can stop
