❖ Last registration deadline: 31 May 2018, for substances manufactured or imported at 1-100 tonnes a year

❖ ECHA's current working estimation is that up to 60 000 registrations will be prepared for up to 25 000 substances(i.e. three times more than for either of the previous deadlines)

o Fewer registrations could ultimately lead to interruptions of crucial supply chains as well as to unintended market distortions

o The Director’s Contact Group recommends that all Ms/Is/ORs communicate their 2018 registration intentions, openly and as soon as possible, to their business partners and, in the 10 to 100 t.p.a. band, wherever available, identify the uses to be covered by their registration
