About usABN AMRO Jersey is part of the ABN AMRO Global Banking network and the longest established Continental European bank in the Channel Islands, having served the needs of many local and international clients for almost 40 years.
Established in Jersey since 1974, our banking legacy stretches back to 1720. Over the years we have grown our banking and investment management services for both individuals and institutions. We benefit from being part of a large international banking group and as a result we can provide bespoke solutions for our clients.

ABN AMRO Jersey is the treasury hub for ABN AMRO Private Banking International. This local expertise enables our clients to have direct access to our treasury desk. We provide a comprehensive range of banking

Call & Term AccountsWe offer a range of instant access and fixed deposit
accounts across all the major traded currencies at
competitive rates. Interest is paid gross and separately
designated accounts can be established to receive
interest if required.
Premium AccountsAn instant access yield enhanced account available in
GBP, USD & EUR; the products provide superior
returns to that which can normally be obtained from a
simple “Call “ account.
Foreign ExchangeWe provide a commission-free foreign exchange
dealing service in all the major and most minor
currencies, offering competitive rates on either a spot,
forward, swap or option basis.
Securities Trading and Global CustodyA global custody and safekeeping service via an
extensive and closely monitored network of
sub-custodians is available, together with a global
dealing and settlement service. We also provide
specialised execution capabilities through a diverse
network of brokers.
CreditAs part of a broader relationship we are able to consider
residential property finance, back-to-back lending,
guarantees and securities leverage. A locally based
and dedicated credit structuring team ensures timely
decision making and expedient turnaround times.
Online BankingAccess to our state of the art online reporting and
payment platform is available to our corporate and
institutional clients via our internet system, Access
Online. Available via any internet browser and
supported by a global support team, Access Online
offers balance and transaction reporting and an online
payment facility. Data may also be downloaded into an
application of your choice, which can then be used to
create your own analysis and personalised reports.
For our private banking clients, Insight offers a non-
transactional online banking service which can also be
accessed remotely from all over the world. The system
enables the user to view their bank balance and
portfolios as well as print statements.
Investment PhilosophyOur investment philosophy is that portfolios should be
built with a medium- to long-term view and constructed
on the foundations of astute risk management and
traditional values.
Developing a clear understanding of our clients’
investment objectives and risk tolerance is an obvious
starting point. Alongside this we will look to understand
your viewpoint and beliefs so that we can be confident
of building a portfolio that you are comfortable with
and understand.
We believe in the preservation of capital, the
compounding of consistent returns over the long term
and the minimisation of risk. We will actively manage
a portfolio’s exposure to different asset classes
depending on our interpretation of market conditions.
Investment ProcessOur various investment committees meet regularly to
consider the global economic and financial environment
and decide which regions, asset classes or investment
sectors should be considered for new investment
or warrant a reduction in existing exposures. A focused
list of bonds, equities and collective investments is
maintained and monitored with a view to populating your
portfolios with the most appropriate investment.
By employing this process the manager directly
responsible for your portfolio will seek to ensure that your
portfolio is aligned with your investment requirements.
This approach enables us to offer a personal service,
be responsive to our clients’ needs and also maintain a
high level of accountability through the regular
measurement of portfolio performance.
Investment management
Once we are confident that we understand your
investment needs and attitude to risk, a well-defined
strategy can be agreed.
The main focus of this service is to build a portfolio of
mainly direct investments, such as equities and bonds
to achieve the investment objectives. We will have a
clear view of your aims, but you have the peace of mind
that the investment decisions remain our responsibility.
A key part of our ongoing delivery of the service is
the development of a close relationship with you. To
this end your dedicated Portfolio Manager will be your
principal and Private Banker point of contact and a
team with whom you can maintain an open dialogue.
We encourage frequent contact and regular meetings
to review both investment strategy and performance.
We avoid a sales-led culture where fashion takes
precedence over investment opportunity.

Discretionary portfolio management
If you wish to be involved with the decisions that are
being taken with your money, you may find the
Investment Advisory Service is better suited to your
needs than traditional discretionary management.
Our Advisory Team will work with you to establish
your investment objectives and deliver a plan, which is
individually designed to meet your goals.
We take time to discuss our advice with you, as
explaining our views is important. Equally important is
listening to your response. You can have as much or as
little input into the portfolio as you are comfortable
with. Our goal is ensuring that you are at ease with the
investment strategy, and that it is right for your current
