A Note from the Administrator...
¡Paz, Todo Bien!
Padre Mike
Dear friends, Last week our bulletin reported the results of the recent Di-ocesan Development Appeal. 367 families answered the re-quest of Bishop Barnes for a sacrificial gift … and the total pledged here was $108, 226!!! If these pledges come in … as I’m sure most of them will … our parish will be quite a bit ahead of the $87,639.93 raised in 2014. The average pledge or gift was $290. Thanks to everyone who participated so generously. All money raised over our parish goal ($73,400) is returned here and dedicated to:
1. roof repair for our parish hall 2. newly refurbished bathrooms in the church building
… and … additional much larger bathrooms at the edge of the school (and outside the fence) that will be opened on weekends and feast days. (We’ve needed extra bathrooms for a long time.)
3. fix up the parish loft with windows to let in fresh air and light
4. create a great space for our youth group, using room A of Sacred Heart center.
The money we made from the DDF drive won’t cover all these expenses, but we’ll easily find a way. And … if you haven’t participated in the DDF drive yet, NOW is the time to act. There are pledge forms available in the back of church and also in the church office. Parish fi-nance committee members will be inviting you at all the Masses this weekend. Many hands make it easy to carry large loads. Peace, All Good! Fr. Mike
